Used to insure my home through this company, but then found out they are involved in greenwash, continuing to insure gas and oil projects whilst saying they are divesting. Sad

I just cannot recommend this company. I was promised a £50 'voucher' as a new customer. The company paid £50 to my friend who recommended A-plan to me but mine never came. I had several conversations with the staff. They each promised to resolve the issue but failed to. I got an email eventually relating to the gift. I followed the instructions but nothing came of it. My renewal quote is now higher than the previous years insurance so they're just recouping the "gift" that my friend received but i didn't. The staff appear to not have a clue about their own products and services. Some knew about the 'new customer' gift and others didn't. They didn't return calls when promising they would. Just appalling! I found a quote online which is over £120 cheaper with a very reputable insurer. The excess is less too. I won't be wasting my time or energy on A-plan again.

I have used these brokers for both my car insurance and home insurance for many years. I have always found them to be helpful and efficient. Also they really do manage to get a good deal on my insurance, I have occasionally got some comparison quotes just to check and their quotes have always come out very competitive. So I highly recommend them, they will save you a lot of money long term.

I discovered that Howdens insure fossil fuel companies which obviously does nothing to help fight the climate emergency. Steer clear of Howdens.

I had to look after an elderly gentleman in my shop today who APlan left waiting for over four hours after a collision even though he had recovery cover. He would have been left much longer had the Police not shown up and taken charge of the situation and removed the man's car themselves. Shameful lack of care and service from this company I would avoid them like the plague!
