Today I went to the branch and when I was at the counter queue, Simon from the branch approached and asked if I needed any help. From that point on, I can say for sure he went above and beyond to ensure everything was settled for my highest good and interest. He is absolutely brilliant not to mention his positive energy and attitude which was perfect way to start my day. He is a true credit to the branch and I cannot thank him enough. Amazing branch. Me and another dozen people were standing for almost 20 minutes past the opening time (9:30am) in about 2 degrees, waiting for the branch to open. The staff did not communicate at all with us about the reason, resulting in a lot of visibly upset customers, they were just sitting about sipping their drinks inside.
Turned out, they had to wait for the machines to be set up/repaired/etc. It's ok, just tell us so we know what's going on.
2 stars because of the lack of care/communicatio but the machines did work this time at least.

Avoid! In advance I called HSBC as their customer, and was told this branch has a counter and can complete my specific request. The woman at the counter was extremely unfriendly, said she usually does not work there and cannot access a system. Waste of my time, and so frustrating to drive to the second branch, one being closed although advertised as open and one with such a horrible “service”.

The staff at this branch were absolutely amazing, and really accommodating in helping my best friend open a bank account here in the UK. She had just moved to the country and needed a bank account so she could receive her salary. If you know anything about UK banks, it can be an absolute nightmare of a mission to open an account if you are a foreigner. We had terrible experiences with other banks, who had turned us away, or refused to help us and this branch was our last hope. The staff were friendly, experienced and so kind. Shout out to Simon, who informed us on all the requirements needed for a successful application, and guiding us every step of the way. By the end of our visit we were able to open a current and savings account for her! What a guardian angel! If you are an overseas worker looking to open a bank account, you should definitely come to this branch!

I’ve just moved to London a couple of days ago and needed to open a bank account. A gentleman called Simon has been so accommodating, helpful, and kind. He made sure that everything went smoothly and he explained everything so well so that I’d know the process and what I needed to do. He also helped me open a savings account, which is something that I really needed. I’m so glad I went to this branch.
