HSBC supports cashless society. At the counter you will hear that it is a digital branch.

I wanted to WITHDRAW cash today and they refused.
Had no issues to DEPOSIT cash 6 months ago here, they forgot they were a digital branch back then?

Need to travel to other town/branch to withdraw cash. Makes it very inconvenient. May as well close my account while I am there.

Do not use this bank unless you want to see your money vanish. My mum took out a Lasting Power of Attorney in accordance with Government guidelines and also those published on HSBC Web site. However HSBC personnel will not accept this, they cannot give you something in black and white to demonstrate their claim, its just a verbal "no". AVOID THIS BANK.

Went in with my elderly uncle to pay some money in ,no counters to which I'd never seen before in a bank ,just a paying in machine and that was broke ,was told we could go to the post office, terrible service ,glad I bank with Lloyds.

A town centre branch of this popular bank. The banking hall has a wheelchair ramp to the front door. There is usually a member of staff standing just inside the door to help people find the services they need. There are paying-in machines and three staffed service points with a single queuing system. Service is generally quite speedy and the staff are usually most amiable.
