What really stood out was his patience and thoroughness—he made sure everything was in order before closing the conversation, and even followed up to ensure the account was successfully opened.

It’s not often you come across someone who goes above and beyond to deliver excellent service, but Richard certainly did. Thanks to him, I now have my account set up and feel confident in continuing my banking with HSBC. Employees like Richard truly make a difference and are a great asset to the team.

I recently went to the HSBC Shrewsbury Branch in relation to personal matters on behalf of a relative. I was welcolmed in the most polite and professional manner and did not have to wait very long. All of the staff were helpful and attentive. The lovely lady whom dealt with this quite sensitive matter was extremely polite and professional throughout. Helen helped me and assisted me where necessary. I was treated with upmost dignity and understanding. A slight problem presented itself and this was clearly explained. Furthermore Helen went above and beyond resolving the matter efficiently and in the best way possible for all and further in order that I did not have to make a further 2 visits to the branch. Called into Shrewsbury branch this morning to get help with a potential/fraud on my Visa card and was greeted by your representative Emily Smout.
After a brief wait, Emily dealt with my situation, including to the HSBC Fraud section, very professionally and with a warm friendly manner.
She handled what could have been a stressful experience very well and is a good example of why keeping branches open to deal with such situations is so important and also a good example of why I have remained loyal to this particular branch of HSBC on High Street Shrewsbury since it was the Midland Bank back in the 1960s.
