I recently attended the 8-week online horse psychology course and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about how horses think. The course format delivered by Kelly, Sandra and team was friendly & fun and the information shared was based on reliable experience as well as the latest published facts - busted the horsey "old wives tales" & myths that are often circulated elsewhere! Great value for money and I really looked forward to the weekly Zoom sessions. Thanks so much!

I joined the online horse psychology course and it was really informative. I would definitely recommend to anyone that is interested in looking more into the horse and whether a horse behaves a certain way, could actually be due to pain.
Understanding a horse might act out a certain way, could be because there is something else going on, not just them being ‘naughty’.
The ladies that ran the course were so lovely and explained everything really well. I liked that they used real scenarios to explain the topics. This helped me understand it more and relating it to some of my problems I’ve had with my horses.
A really good course. A shame that it’s finished. Each time, you always learn something new (I definitely did) 😀

Have just completed the Online Psycology course and the handling the untouched horse course and they were both fantastic. I have also recently done the 5 day foundation and loading the less easy horse courses.
I have learnt so much from all of them, it has literally changed my life and given me so much more confidence to go forward with a change in career to help problem horses. The detailed course notes means I can go over it all again if I need to remind myself and I know there is so much ongoing support if I need it via the office.
All the instructors, as always, are very approachable, supportive and are always making the content relevant to real life situations. I also love how on all the courses, everyone’s opinion is valid and it’s less about the students just copying the teacher but more a collaborative discussion to learn best practice for the benefit of the horse.
Highly recommend to anyone wanting a deeper understanding of horse behaviour and training.

After attending the IH 5 day foundation course I felt like I had a whole new perspective on my body language and how it affects horses! Since being home I have put into practice all aspects of the course including getting my tricky loader to load within 5-10 mins both ways (I didn’t time it but it wasn’t long at all!). Made leaving the show ground a lot less embarrassing. We learnt loads and consolidated a lot of our learning over the 5 days. It was also great to spend a week with like minded individuals. The tutors were great too!

I wanted to thank everyone at Intelligent Horsemanship for their support and encouragement over this last year, without exception each IH trainer has shared information in an understandable and enjoyable way! IH methods of training are highly effective and my confidence and skill level has greatly increased, each aspect of learning is broken down into bite sized chunks and reinforced through lots of practice. There is no judgement, just learning and lots of laughter. It’s the first time I have genuinely enjoyed online learning (if missed a week) which shows how engaging the training is! A supportive network of likeminded, genuine people with evidence based knowledge sharing. It is invaluable to those who want to provide the best care/education for their horse. Intelligent horsemanship is vital to my personal health and wellbeing. Through your techniques, support and guidance you have brought both me and my horse from a place of acute anxiety and panic to peace and communion. Working in partnership my horse Padstow and I have grown to form a relationship of mutual trust and respect. Whilst he is supposed to be my husbands horse and is far too big for me, our work on the ground together has led to an amazing connection when in the saddle and so he has become my very special horse. Thank you, Kelly, for leading intelligent horsemanship and offering so many of us your wisdom and guidance which allows us to experience such magical moments with our horses.

Carrie was truly amazing, she was kind and gentle with my head shy Shetland pony. She’s a rescue so no idea what has led her to be so frightened of a head collar. Carrie earned her trust and within half an hour she was putting the head collar and taking it off with ease. It was then my turn and again was able to do this when previously I have struggled for 2 hours without success. I’m repeating the pattern daily and it is going miraculously well.
