Like others, I would give zero stars if I could. When I first started using their services, everything seemed fine, but over time, the service has deteriorated drastically. My company is no longer trading, and I’ve been trying to close it down for months. I initially requested a call with Intouch in May 2024 to discuss this, but eight months later, there has been no progress on my request.
I rarely get responses to emails, and when they do contact me, it's always by phone—usually at times when I’m unable to answer due to work commitments. Despite repeatedly asking whether we can make progress via email or schedule a convenient call, nothing seems to change and they continue to try to ring me at inconvenient times.
I'm beyond frustrated. I first requested to close my company eight months ago, and yet I am still having to keep on top of company admin. The worst part is that I was paying a non-trading fee for months before I decided to shut down the company, even though they didn’t provide any substantial service during that time. And now that I need them, they're nowhere to be seen. It feels like a complete waste of money.
I strongly advise against using these accountants!

I have been with Intouch for almost 10 years and initially had a positive experience. However, in the past couple of years, especially since its acquisition by Brookson, the service has taken a dramatic downturn. It becomes impossible to get a hold of anyone to ask about anything, regarding data migration, my accounts, let alone any form of accounting advices. This single star reflects the smooth service I once received, but unfortunately, I cannot justify giving a higher rating based on recent experiences.

How can I give them 0 stars!!!!
Things were great for several years and then Brookson's took over and things started to go down the drain. In short Brooksons new software (think of the Post Office system Horizon, but on steroids!) screwed up my accounts to the point I was having to remind my accountant about HMRC payments. Now 6 months after leaving I'm still getting fines from HMRC, they won't give my new accountants all my information, they do not answer their complaints email (I have now sent 3).
SO I would avoid them at all costs!

I used Intouch Accounting for over two year, and while my experience started off positive, it unfortunately took a turn for the worse. After three months of joining my accountant left the company. This has happened six times since joining. No one lets me know if the change or my 'new' point of contact, I am completely left in the dark Which has caused me extra time and money spent/lost.
Things deteriorated further after the company introduced a new system.
Ironically, for a company called Intouch, it’s nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone when you need assistance. The lack of response and human interaction made resolving issues increasingly frustrating, and the overall service fell far short of expectations. Ultimately, I decided to cancel my direct debit and close my account. I still can't get hold of anyone! My experience suggests deeper issues within the company—declining standards and poor customer service seem to be ongoing problems. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend Intouch Accounting to anyone looking for consistent and reliable support. They have joined forces with Brooks accounts. Unfortunately this has just caused further complications.

AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS
Worst professionals I've seen by any measure.
I started working with them in 2023 and everything seemed ok at the time. However, over 2023 and early 2024 the service got really bad.
I reached a point when my allocated accountant wasn't answering my phone call, not responding to my emails and not getting back to me after many voicemails/emails etc.
Things got so bad in tail end of 2024 and early 2025 that I used to email them 5 times a week and call them 3 times a week and all I get in return is radio silence - no acknowledgements, no replies - NOTHING!!!
I escalated - but even that didnt improve anything. I terminated my contract with them in Feb/Mar-2025 - guess what, even after putting this in writing that I am terminating the contract - I got zero acknowledgement from them - WHAT A SHAME
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE - I'd ADVICE YOU TO AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all would give zero stars if I could. I have been with intouch (outoftouch) since the incorporation of my company in 2015. They are over subscribed, faceless, and useless as accountants. It was assumed that I know all there is to know about accounting, I was given no advice, guidance on how to manage the finances of the company and was allowed to blindly walk into major debt with the HMRC. I had to get a £20k personal loan in the end to stop the collection letters and pay a £10k personal tax bill in installments over 4 years. Why pay a company so much and you do all the work and get it wrong
Then this bloody switchover to Brookson One was literally the final straw, with no consultation about it and just not working towards anything else.
They filed my confirmation statement so late and I was on the precipice of having my company and assets seized and personally being struck off from ever being a director again!
I didn't hear anything for months and there was a massive black hole in my data!! I now lose sleep over what's going on with my PAYE.
I have decided to try and use Xero and was assured by Daniel that they would assist me in transition to the accounting software. So far I've not heard anything since this call so have tried to take matters into my own hands by applying to the HMRC for a PAYE account but they have responded saying I already have an account. So I have so much anxiety about getting into the shit again because of this useless company.
Avoid at all costs.
EDIT: still had no productive communication from them apart from they’re ditching my company from their address. I’m having to pay another accountant £1400 to do the return for the year I’ve already paid to InTouch/brookson. That’s even if they can get any data from them. It’s like taking your a brick wall.

Avoid at all costs! This firm has become an absolute disgrace. If I could rate them zero stars, I would. It is almost impossible to get a timely response from them, and they have caused ongoing delays in preparing my self-assessment tax returns (SATR) and company accounts, putting me at risk of missing statutory deadlines.
I have been with Intouch as a contractor for 10 years, and the service has become abysmal, deteriorating significantly since the takeover by Brookson, followed by the forced car crash of migration to their new "better" portal with no consultation. Due to their lack of professionalism and efficiency, I have decided to take my business to another accounting firm.

Another case of being great for years, then when Brookson get involved , things went downhill very quickly. Impossible to contact anyone, including my Personal accountant. I have now switched accountant, and are now having to chase for my final year end accounts to be submitted. Calls and emails are very rarely answered, and when they do, I get told that "They will be with me shortly for review..." ... then nothing ever appears.
