We have used John on a couple of occasions - the most recent when our fixed rate expired. John contacted us 6 months before the expiry date and reviewed our lender's rates against the whole of the mortgage market. In addition, he also factored in our preference to reduce the mortgage balance and to find the most cost-effective way of achieving this (without incurring any penalties). Remaining with our lender was the best option and John secured us the most cost-effective rate at that time. However, he then continued to review our rate (and implemented any lower rates which became available over the next 6 months) John applied for 5 further rate reductions over this period. This resulted in our initial rate reducing by over 1% from initial application to completion.

Well where do I start, came across John via a recommendation from a colleague who had previously used JFS and couldn't speak highly enough of John. I had a mortgage in principle agreed with my own bank, but was a real pain having to make appointments and going in to branch etc, me having very little or no patience just didn't work. I contacted John and from start to finish (only 6 weeks) I may add, he took control of absolutely everything, got us an instant acceptance with the Halifax at a rate less than my own bank had quoted me, dealt with the estate agents, even recommended a great conveyancing solicitor to me at a very reasonable fixed fee, and did all the liaising with them also.
