Mark and the Kavu team were very useful during my tenancy with them, they provided me with alternative furniture and layouts to better suit my needs, as well as always coming round the same day for any maintenance issues that we as a house had going on at the time. Mark made clear the expectations he had from tenants at handover and was fair throughout.

If Mark you forget everything, i want to reply on your comment but you turn off the comments , I can share screenshots of our chat. I have given you proper notice, and I agreed to pay £400, but you are still pressuring me and not answering my calls.
Mark, please stop lying. Neither you nor your team provided the microwave. When I moved into the property, I immediately informed you about the issues, including the terrible noise from the boiler. During your visit, you acknowledged the problems and mentioned that I should get used to the noise. You also promised to fix the cardboard wall, but when I reminded you later, there was no response. After waiting for a few weeks and not seeing any improvements, I paid the December rent and gave notice that I'm leaving due to the unresolved problems.

Very happy with my time renting with Kavu Ltd. Everything was brand new and as described. Any problems and they were always there to sort straight away for me. Mark's a very fair landlord and I have nothing but respect for him. Thanks a lot for everything and I wish you guys all the best

They don't deserve one star also. They cheated me both during moving in and moving out. Horrible experience. Un professional staff. I was not provided with broadband for more than 10 days while Moved-in and moving out experience was worst as they failed to explain why they did not refund my balance rent. They used unprofessional wordings while communicating with me. They are the real cheater. I was a student of University of Surrey and they cheated me to the full extent. Now I got a job in London and I moved out but they deduct surplus balance rent without any reason though they charged massive £240 for admin charges to find a replacement. Recommend everyone to avoid this agency otherwise you will be cheated like me.

I have used Kavu for a short (2 months) stay in Guildford. Mark showed me the rooms personally and was kind enough to do this on a Sunday. The stay was excellent, the house was warm and clean (thanks to the cleaning service). We also had a small problem with the house front door: they had it repaired immediately.
I have been really satisfied with the service offered, and I would use it again.

So bitterly disappointed with the service. We were totally messed around, agreed the house was ours, sent us the tenancy agreement the MORNING the deposit was due (after asking for it multiple times). Then a few hours later after half of us paid the deposit were told we could no longer have the property, with some really shameful, vague, unjustified excuses. Was an absolute joke, got told we were ‘rushing’ securing the property- not our fault the tenancy was only sent to us the morning the deposit was due! Absolute joke. Absolutely don’t recommend whatsoever. Avoid.

Myself and five other students were told by the landlord that we had secured the property and were due to pay a deposit on an agreed day and time suggested by the landlord. We were all in agreement with the date however we had questions that we wanted answered before handing over such a large sum for a deposit. We were not given a contract or tenancy agreement and were told we would receive one after the payment of the deposit was made. That made it unclear what we were agreeing to and so we asked repeatedly for the contract and were not given it until the morning our deposit was due. After 3 of the students paid their deposit we received an email that was extremely vague and unapologetic saying we could no longer have house, despite deposits being sent. On receiving this email we took it upon ourselves to call and email the landlord where we were repeatedly ignored and just left to find a new house with no explanation. We are so frustrated with this; the whole system was confusing and misleading - which was unhelpful as young students renting for the first time.

Do not rent with these people! We were a group of uni students and we felt they took advantage of us. Do not pay the deposit as they ended up keeping £825 from us!

Edit: We spoke to the university and they advised us that your position was unreasonable. Additionally at the time all the tenants were having to sort out getting home because of Coronavirus and we felt extremely rushed to get everything sorted. We always had the intention to pay all the rent and sort everything out but once we saw the absurd terms after paying the deposit we decided that it would be a bad decision to go ahead with you. I hope you understand our situation and that the university never said your terms were reasonable. Also we never withdrew, we felt we were forced to when you saidb that we would have to pay an extra 1,500£ each to proceed without guarantors which we obviously were never going to do. When speaking with our new landlord were realised how unreasonable your terms were and how much we were exploited.

I also don’t think it is very proffesional to reply sarcastically when you responding to reviews...
