Worst business I have had the misfortune of dealing with. Takes around 30 minutes to get through on the phone then when you do, you are put on hold several times. It feels like I am telling them how to do their job !. Been waiting since start of December for settlement but it is one excuse after another. Do not use these people they are hopeless.

Avoid at all costs. Vehicle been sat at approved repairers for a month now and repairs still not approved. All that’s needed is locks changing. 2 other much larger claims with other insurance companies settled quickly and without any fuss!

Had a 50/50 accident in June of last year, I had my car insured to a value of £3000, I had declared modifications made to the car. KGM went to petty lengths to dispute the payout value and said that my modifications came under wear and tear items. This is absolutely ridiculous as the modifications which included fully adjustable coilover suspension and an upgraded full exhaust system. Instead of doing the right thing as an insurance company they low balled the value of my car and even after sending everything they asked for bar a receipt of purchase (car was bought privately and not from a garage) to have the valuation reconsidered they continued to argue that my modifications added zero value to the car. This then meant it took over 6 months for the car to be collected from my home address and for the pathetic payout to hit my account. Oh and they didn’t pay the hire company for my courtesy car that I had for nearly 3 months as I’m still receiving emails from them to this day asking for me to contact KGM and get them to settle the bill as they have been ignored when trying to contact them themselves. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS, if you are using a broker such as Adrian flux like I was, make sure with them that your underwriter isn’t KGM.

10 months trying to get my car fixed. 3 month indemnity check before authorising repair. 6 months repairing. Used second parts and even at that have missed the structural damage and gave me a car back in a dangerous state. They had it independently inspected and the assessor they employed condemned it. Ombudsman can't even get them to respond and have told them now to write the car off. Honestly done everything to get out of dealing and behaving properly

50+ years of experience in insurance companies, this one is the worst I have ever heard complaints about, I have now witnessed for myself and wish I had heeded the warnings, avoid or risk a great loss as I have, rude uncaring and only have there own interests for front. Very underhanded, lack of communication. My vehicle was stolen and by all accounts I am at fault ?
Not fair in their summing up, and couldn’t careless attitude. Please don’t make my mistake regretting is to late AVOID

Still waiting for my refund after 1 month since cancellation within 2 days of policy within 14 day cool off period. I will make a ccj with the broker or kgm insurance should i not get my money within 7 days.

Very disappointing, there is no communication from KGM Underwriting. They scrapped my motorcycle before giving me a concrete offer. I had to send numerous emails before finally receiving a response. It’s not worth getting insurance with them.

Absolutely ridiculous! Well over a year to pay out and still not paid out!!! Every excuse in the book. If you phone you just get passed pillow to post! It’s absolutely ridiculous! This was a non fault claim!!!!!
