It’s been a turbulent time for homeowners with mortgages, to put it mildly.

Trying to find a half-decent deal in the UK in 2024 often feels like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

At one point, I feared my mortgage sub-account interest rate would rise from its previous 2.74% to around 7%. The deals I was seeing weren’t exactly what I would call “competitive”.
