One of those wonderful hardware shops where they always have what you need. If you just need 2 screws they will sell you them, no need to buy a box of 50. Brilliant service. Sadly a disappearing breed 😪

Old school hardware store. Saved me many a journey to the building merchant. They sell most things you would expect to find in a hardware store even screws i n small amounts. Friendly and helpful. Would like to see more stores like these kept alive.

I ran into Kings today to find a vase. The wonderful women there immediately helped me to find the perfect glass jug, for under £5!
The lady putting the item through the till took time to chat with me about my day, the experience was invaluable, exactly how retail should be.
Thank you to the excellent team at Kings for exceeding my expectations and adding such a special touch to my day.

Probably the best reason to go into Wem. A real old fashioned hardware store. It's a pleasure to pop in, ask for something really unusual and see them go straight to the correct drawer and produce said item with a flourish. Also, if you want anything from one screw to four candles they will happily sell the quantity you need and pop it in a paper bag. No plastic wrapped expensive packets like the chains.

This place seems to have everything! I love having a shop like this nearby. I always seem to be able to find what I came for (generally tools/hardware). It saves a long drive to a DIY superstore and you get the good old-fashioned personal service that you only get from a small, local shop like this.
