A lovely place! I bought a strawberry tart, and it was both delicious and beautifully presented. And the price was very reasonable! The service was also excellent—the staff proactively asked if I needed any help and were very kind. Oh it’s worth noting that you need to register to get a seat:)

We booked the 'Pooch Party' for my daughter's birthday and can highly recommend it. Having not been to a party at Lanchester Garden Centre before, I was a little apprehensive about how it would go but I needn't have worried. The events room it was held in was lovely (and nice and warm too) with a beautiful feature window looking out over the valley. Everything was well organised and Alison was a great party host. The party was a nice mix of crafting followed by time to move around and then food and had been well thought out to ensure it all ran smoothly. My daughter and her friends all had a fantastic time and were delighted with their new puppy toys.

I love this place! It's an excellent day out with kids, we've been in the summer and sat in the gardens, it was beautiful. We also went recently when it was colder and explored Potters world again. Its only £4 entry per person! The cafe is lovely, the gift shop is huge! Their plants are also very reasonably priced. There's fish for sale too! There's so much to see. Wish I lived closer I'd be there multiple times a week 😅

What a lovely garden centre. There is a large shop to browse with a famr shop inside too. Great selection of plants/flowers both in summer and winter.
There is a large selection of fish to purchase.
Potters World is brilliant for the kids, it costs £4 per person to get in (under 1s are free). There are ducks, fish, owls, rabbits, small and large reptiles, snakes - the kids love wandering around. There are large tortoises too which are free to roam around. They do turn the sprinkles on in Potters World but staff bring umbrellas and warn you before it happens - the kids think it's brilliant is raining indoor. There is also an indoor and outdoor play area for the kids!
The restaurant is fantastic! Food is so tasty and really large portions. It's a definite place to stop!

I recently visited the Lanchester Garden Centre Greenhouse Restaurant, and I have to say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home the moment we stepped through the door. It’s clear they really care about their guests and go above and beyond to ensure you have a great time.

As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was fresh and full of flavor, but the highlight for me was definitely the Sunday lunch. The roast was perfectly cooked, with tender meat, crispy roast potatoes, and all the trimmings you could ask for. The portion sizes were generous, and it felt like a real treat.

I’ll definitely be returning—great food, great atmosphere, and the staff really make it all the more special!

This is a great way to spend the afternoon with little ones. Food was lovely, the blondie was absolutely delicious! Aquarium section and Potters world kept the kids entertained for ages. There were so many animals, feeding opportunities and the soft play had a lot going on as well as the outdoor section for kids. The sand pit could do with more sand, less stones but that would be my only suggestion.

Probably the best fry up I've ever had (apart from the wife's) really tasty fresh ingredients. Although the table service was a complete farce the food made up for it.

An absolute brilliant atmosphere been into potter's world as well. All the wild and exotic animals, especially the loud African grey. Parrots and I went into the greenhouse Cafe and they had huge slices of cakes. They had nearly every single flavour, carrot cake, chocolate cake, strawberry cream, Victoria sponge, and lemon tart. I had the chocolate one and it was so tasty. It's definitely worth coming down and when I got the cheese scone it came out all nice and toasty and when I put the butter on it literally just sank into the scone thanks Manchester garden centre. You guys are real expert of doing a good scone
