Where other shopping centres seem to be dying on their feet Abbey Centre is certainly buzzing. It is bright and airy and has an upmarket feel and seems to be well supported. The fact that Boots Hearing has opened a stand alone store speaks volumes. If there is a downside I have to say the car parking spaces are dire and are far too close together.

Typical UK style retail shopping complex. A good variety of the leading designer & budget retail outlets, with a fast food court, coffee shops, travel agents & a pharmacy. Parking can be fun at busy times.

Downside; the WiFi & mobile phone signal is mostly poor. The centre WiFi 👎though you can connect to EE & O2 if you’re close to their outlets.

Overall, it is, what it is!

I love the Abbey Centre, they have almost every shop you can think of here, if it's not in the centre it's around the centre I.e Food Warehouse, B&M, Homebargains, Sports Direct, Bed Store, Jolleys, Car parts/tools place, Cafe Nero, Matalan, Poundland, so so much to choose from, along with a Food court and Nandos.

Never really much to do there for me persoanlly, kids don't seem too bothered to go either, only a couple of shops they are interested in. If I wasn't in the area for other things wouldn't be on my have to go list for sure.

Please be aware that you will get a £100 fine (reduced to £60) for staying over I think it's 4 hrs but says 3 hrs on my letter. Signage is on lamp posts quite high up out of view and one wee sign on entrance. Who looks at lamp posts!? No parking signage stationed independently in carpark, just on perimetre lamp posts. Lesson learned. Sting me once. Sometimes car parks change the conditionstoo (like one in Ballymena suddenly changed to pay) so I'll always check before I leave to be sure.
