Some of the other reviews confuse me. Are you OK Letchworth? Have you seen the standard of post offices in other cities? Ours is really good! The staff are friendly and are working as quickly and efficiently as they can. Yeah there can be queues but that's not due to lack of skill by the folks here, that's just the aging systems and processes all post office use!
I'd rather queue here for a few minutes and be served politely and professionally 🙂

So I need to post a letter and pay for it tombe tracked, I checked both the postoffice website and royal mail website, both say closes at 2100 hours get there 18.30 both positions closed and times saying it closes earlier than advertised. So wasted journey in the cold.

The shop it is located in is open but I wouldn't class that as the actual post office bit.

Totally understaffed. Doesn’t matter when you go always a queue beyond a joke. Staff at the post office bit are friendly but very poor management leaving them so short staffed.

horrible customer service - i was waiting for ages 20+ minutes in a cramped line in a shop when a larger sized lady approached me asking if i’m with the lady who’s getting served infront of me , which i replied no. she then demands me to step away from the lady infront of me to give her personal space, which considering she is larger is quite ironic as she certainly isn’t getting personal space from herself never mind letting other people. I find terrible customer service and the people are downright horrible this is what happens when you come to the south as a northerner

The PO isn't always open, often closes due to staff shortage. On one occasion it said "be back soon" on the door and 8 of us were waiting outside including a disabled man for almost an hour. There are always queues and its slow moving. Staff are ok but could definately be more helpful and friendly. I live in Letchworth but drive to another post office now and rarley use this one.

While the store was still open at 6pm, the guy working there just couldn't be bothered to accept returned amazon packages after 5pm.
Poor service, terrible attitude. If you have somewhere else you can go, go there.

Absolute disgrace of a service for a Town that once had a decent Post Office on Broadway that used to have about 8 counters to serve people. Now reduced to just one counter open at peak time on a Friday afternoon and one poor bloke serving about 20 odd Customers going out the door!
