Spent weeks in discussion with Lifesearch, after being denied a policy by Beagle Street due to some specific conditions regarding hobbies. After having run through MULTIPLE application forms, totalling hours and hours of my time, the best price they could manage was £55 a month.

I then proceeded to do my own research and found a company that offered me cover for less than half of the above figure, without having to change anything about the personal information supplied. Now obviously the £55p/m figure will include a percentage commission paid to Lifesearch, so it strikes me they're more concerned about lining their own pockets than saving you money.

Company arranged my life insurance years ago. Rang me out of the blue off a random mobile number, and demanded to take me through security checks, asking for my date of birth, address etc. when I pointed out there was no way I'd be telling a random man on a random number those details, he really couldn't understand why not and got cross with me! What an idiot. I later rang the company on a central number and they confirmed he was one of their agents. Lifesearch - you can't ring clients and demand they give you personal info like that out of the blue.

Cold callers keep contacting me despite me telling them I don’t need their help and have already taken out an insurance policy. Will not remove me from their contact list. They got my information from compare the market despite unticking the ‘contact me’ box.

Would leave 0 stars if I could. Gary is a rude, aggressive man with no customer service, and clearly lacks training and basic social skills. With staff like Gary I’m so happy I didn’t decide to go forward with insurance from them. Shows what type of company they are. Would not recommend to anyone.

I naively added my number to a compare the market quote and they got in touch via email, text and phone very quickly. I did not appreciate the bombardment of communications. I raised with compare the market and lifesearch and unsubscribed.

However. 6 months later I did another search for quotes and this time I was very careful not to add my number, however this didn't stop lifesearch. They clearly had my number on file and resinstigated their process. I had a text, an email and 2 calls within 24 hours of my quote. I did not opt into being called or text this time round.

I appreciate they may believe they have a well oiled machine following up on indicitive quotes promptly, but its far too aggressive in my opinion. Not something I want from a life insurer.

Rude, inconvenient cold caller. Got hold of my number through a comparison site, my mistake!
Called out of the blue on a Monday morning when I have plenty of other things to do. No introduction, no apology for disturbing me or asking if it was a good time. He just attempted to launch straight into his sales attempt, expecting me to just be a willing participant and asking direct questions. "why did you not complete your application?" etc.
Not interested in spending thousands with a company who treat customers that way.

I would be very careful using this company. Gave them my information several times, repeating it over and over again. Came back with a quote of £52 and depsite giving them EXACT information on medical history, they now claim the insurer has doubled the quote. I could honestly understand if my report differed to my own answers but it didn't.

Have asked them to question why the quote is different and surprise surprise, not heard from them.

I have nothing but praise for the service I have received from Liam Back at Lifesearch, he managed to turn a potentially policy cancelling situation into 2 new policies with great communication throughout the process. If I could find anyone that I could broach life cover subject with I'd be swimming in referrals!! Alas, it's not a party conversation to be fair. Joking aside, these guys take the pain out of life assurance and understanding terminology etc.. and make the whole process easy.
