STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are the worst of the worst. I brought a new car for over £30k with them. The car has had nothing but problems 4 times in a row. Every time I try to reject the car they tell me there isn't enough proof there is a fault. I have seen the job cards that they received from Jaguar UK which clearly states the same issue with the battery every time. When it first happened I was without my car for 5 1/2 MONTHS. I had to keep CHASING this company for updates on what they are doing about it. Over a year later the car is still having failed batteries all reports sent to them and they still just keep saying no proof of fault, or that repairs have failed. ITS AN ELECTRIC CAR BATTERY ISSUES MEANS CAR IS USELESS. I'm paying £600+ per month. All I get is terrible customer service and one little payment of £150 to say sorry for the inconvenience. No that is nonsense I don't want £150 I want to give the car back. I brought a car with you that had a range of 300 miles, turns out I brought a car to sit in the shop for a combined total of 7 MONTHS and be not operating fully for a combined 7 MONTHS Keep in mind I have had the car for only 20 MONTHS. Every time the car has an issue the range is reduced to 150 miles. So leaves me not being able to drive to work and home without having to stop and pay in fortune in public charging. But I'm still having to pay my full monthly payments, and every attempt to give the car back they reject the evidence submitted to them from Jaguar UK directly from the service manager clearly laying out what the issues on the car are.

This isn't the last this horrible company will be hearing from me. I'm not dropping this until the issue is resolved. But, I advise everyone to STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. I will be seeking as much advice and getting as much support as needed to get the desired and fair outcome. I will not allow you to get away with this, just so you keep getting your money.

We had some challenges securing the right finance for our dream campervan conversion, but after a bit of searching, we came across Sam at Man Island Finance. I have to say, he was absolutely brilliant! He guided us through the entire process at a pace that suited us, keeping us informed every step of the way.

What really stood out was the personal touch, Sam and the team made us feel like real people, not just another number in the system. It’s rare to find a company that genuinely cares, and we’ll definitely be returning if we need financing in the future. Highly recommend!

Steer absolutely clear of this company.

Problems started when transferring a contract from a business to myself personally. Advised all was taken care of and complete, then informed a few days later this wasn't the case and I'd been given wrong information.

Changed my details with them, set up new payment method and again advised all taken care of, despite agreement not being transferred over, which didn't matter anyway as still had a personal guarantee.

Fast forward 6 months, they hadn't set up the direct debit, had been issuing post to the old address and actually hadn't updated any details. Then come chasing for the full balance, still hadn't updated any details. Ensured direct debit actually set up, and then enter into discussions to pay any arrears, completely ignored by them, then met with demand notice for full balance, despite being ignored on 3 different options presented to them.

Contact them immediately, advising that I hadn't been responded to and made offers of payment, raised 2 complaints, which of course they won't admit to any fault of their own. Ask to speak to supervisors, told they will request for that to happen. Was spoken to rudely and dismissed by someone with no context of what had taken place and informed "if I raise another complaint, will be met with same response from complaint team", whom, hadn't actually acknowledged any elements of the complaint.

Their team don't action requests, don't reply, then will not work with you to find a solution, when, the fact is, that the issue, is their error. (Obviously they won't admit their failings).

I would urge absolutely everyone to avoid like the plague.

Mann Island Let Me Down.

I found my dream car. Unfortunately after having been accepted 2 weeks earlier, a delay to delivery because of a small issue with the car meant the deal wasn't completed before the big court case last Monday that changed the car finance world.

I asked my dealer about it, they said the finance was still in place, and they expected no issues. However new documents needed to be issued and signed. When the car was ready, the process to complete started, but Mann Island only decided then to pause, claiming "IT issues, and a need to reassess". I'm on holiday for 3 weeks from today so the deal had to be completed and they refused. By this point, I'd signed all the documents pertaining to dealership commission. The we are pausing doesn't wash, they could have told me that Monday, not on the day we all asked it to be pushed forward.

It's an absolutely disgrace, the deal has fallen through and I'm heartbroken. This company is a total disgrace, avoid.

Used this company to finance a car. After a few weeks I noticed issues with the car - long story short after many months it turns out the car should not have been sold in the first place and the dealer nor his mechanic could fix the issues with the car.

Mann Island did push the dealer in the end to take the car back and I was able to get most of my money refunded via the company

If anything like this should happen to you, please make sure to take note of all actions taken, along with the date and time, as I had to write letters and provide evidence of the faults with the car, proof of the dealers 'attempts' to fix the vehicle and all communications we had.

Please follow advice from citizens advice and the financial ombudsman

Haven’t had a great experience, I contacted the accounts department to update my direct debits details, which was confirmed but yet payments were continuing to be taking out of my old account which was closed.

I trusted that payments would be taken out of my new bank details which it wasn’t and I wasn’t aware, it left me in arrears which I’m still paying off. I was emailed and told that if I didn’t pay arrears in full my car would be collected by a recovery team.

An agreement was made that I pay an extra £200 on top of my monthly £388, though I think the collections team forgot to collect the extra £200 a few days later leaving me unable to pay due to other payments.

I recently got an email from the collections team stating I owe £594.40 which I like to know where this sum has come from. Just when I thought I was back on track with payments I get hit with this sum especially coming up to Christmas.

I expect a copy & paste response, Cheers for the stressful experience of owning a car .

This is the second time I have come to Mann Island to finance my car.

The first time they were great, very reassuring, sensible and easy to follow paperwork and expedient in making things happen. The people at Mann Island are of the best I have experienced over many years.

This time around it was super professional Tom! Now this guy, is the epitome of the phrase "it does what is says on the tin" Tom went the extra mile to ensure that now time went by without an update for me. He is honest decent and very professional and on this occasion, he turned around the whole thing within 24 hrs lock stock and barrel.

I WILL be back! Thank you Tom!!
