What a dreadful experience! If I could give zero stars I would. We applied for an expat mortgage, remortgaging our property in the UK which we purchased in 2021. After jumping through hoops to provide all the required documentation which was requested at different stages, we had to initially pay £300 application “assessment” fee. Then we were told the property value, both market and rental income, is not sufficient to qualify us for the amount we needed to borrow, even though it was valued at £30k more by an estate agent three months ago. That was based on a “desktop” valuation - hit a few keys and wait for a number to pop up on the screen. Furthermore, our statements clearly show the rental income we receive is more than the valuation. We then had to pay another £310 for an in-person survey, which was useless as it came back at the exact same numbers. Fast forward, we cancelled our application. Congrats Marsden, you managed to squeeze £610 pounds from us. Seems like these companies value a quick buck more than having a loyal customer for years. Time wasters! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
