Unfortunately I had a very negative experience dealing with my recent landlady via Morris & Russell. There appeared to be a mouse infestation in the property, with regular mouse droppings being found in my kitchen drawers and various mouse sightings, as well as hearing them in the walls almost every night. The landlady refused to block any access holes when asked and had poison put down instead which was eaten but the problem continued.

On communicating this to Morris & Russell, I had one initial reply but no response to my next few emails updating them on the ongoing situation and saying I felt I had no choice but to contact the council. Still no reply.

I eventually decided to end the tenancy early due to this unresponsiveness and the landlady's unpredictability and unreliability (hard to know whether I'd catch her sober and reasonable or if she'd forget our entire conversation). There was no accountability or acceptance of any blame in the situation and I was charged an extra 3 months of rent payments for leaving early, with no apology for any failures by the landlady or lettings agent.

This was such a stressful experience leaving me with very little faith that potential future issues would be dealt with professionally and compassionately, which is an unfair situation for any tenant to find themselves in.
