Truly dedicated local people, helping others in their community by running a charity shop, and food bank. To any local food shop/supermarket, who really want to give a local charity some help.....Call in and see George, and he will pass on anything that will help someone have a chance to make a home, or feed a home ....!

A great place for everyone.
I was here as a volunteer through work.
This place supports anyone and everyone that requires support, from clothes, food, furniture and electrical items. Also support with getting the right help with well being, support with getting into or back into work. Getting back into society. Living and money management. Call or visit the centre to find out all the support offered.

All staff will recollect the times I used this service while I was a well dressed clean and well spoken female yet homeless, without qualifying for the local area connection allocations policy and I was referred to a very abrupt larger middle aged blonde woman to make phone calls to local hostels like Riverside who only favoured substance misusers,. So because I did not fit the criteria as a result of stereotyping homeless, she claimed she couldn't help me off the streets to get a roof over my head and immediately gave me the impression I was not welcome to use the service as a safe warm space for a vulnerable woman with serious disabilities. A male police officer was hanging around your building collecting reports from visitors to your services which are glorified and hyped up food handouts and data collecting for the government, nevertheless, service users are encouraged to report domestic violence and other crimes which either caused them to be homeless or made them unsafe while homeless, this initimidating uniformed presence appeared to not only take a disliking ( contempt ) to my presence being there, as soon as he overheard within ear shot that Mustard Tree staff could not place me in a hostel, his behaviour began to step out of line and become alarming, he approached me and just before he said something to me, another member of staff interrupted him, referring to myself, to say, "Oh she's got a place sorted now, it's all been sorted". I dread to think what this nasty piece of work was just about to comment, but it felt like he didn't want my burden around him, and didn't want to see me back in the mustard Tree, as he overheard the staff not being able to help me or offer housing. However the system is so corrupt that you can't report or record on the premises abusive staff and service users WITHIN women's refuges and other homeless drop in centres made up of mostly male staff abusing women and self entitled jobsworths calling themselves femminists pretending they're there to protect women when really it's about their salary, virtue signalling and posing for charity PR. The replies from management to other reviews of mustard Tree speak volumes. Accusing people of inaccuracies, again, more gaslighting and patronising from these useless jobsworths. Riddled with excuses. A real caring compassionate empathic charity would think outside the box, and secure accomodation for people struggling and battling the red tape and vicious endless barriers into private renting, not to mention, the drawbacks with being accepted into emergency accomodation. Bottom line is, I was proactive and beat the system, I was forced to find a resolution, whilst still authorized to access Mustard Tree for food, sleeping bags, tents, socks, shoes, and most importantly, hydration. Despite this, the male police officer appearing to refuse me access when he did not have any knowledge of my circumstances which lead to my to homelessness, and the abrupt larger blonde woman wasn't prepared to let me explain the bigger picture I've suffered. If your staff had any personal experiences of poor quality housing, racism, harrassment and noise pollution in a property your trying to live in peace and dignity and complaints procedures which don't work effectively then you would understand the reasons for people's homelessness in a less stigmatized and less politically motivated way. If this happened, there would be less people on the streets. You are contributing to the problem and being funded to provide data, which is a form of exploitation. Meanwhile your CEO holidays around on tax payers money enjoying big bonuses. All your bothered about is meeting your weekly targets. You can act as "shocked" as you want by this review, it's organized crime in a diluted fashion, like countless other charity businesses ( especially in LONDON) fuelled by self desire and self interests. Respond with more lies, go on, let all the fools rally round your nonsense defense, as usual, you'll be the ones believed, not us. Attitudes need to change.

Wanted to donate a sofa, waited in all morning staying off work, found them knocking on the wrong door.
The driver then came in and said he couldn’t take the sofa because it had collapsed on one cushion which it hasn’t. I said it’s not collapsed it’s just where it’s been sat on. He got quite nasty and said I was advised on the phone it was drivers discretion and walked out! Try and do a good turn and that what you get...
