The classic 'kid's drawing' castle, though obviously partly ruined, exquisitely good condition. Fascinating to walk around and climb up, with a great video presentation showing how it probably originally looked. The cafe was excellent, too. Well worth a few hours in your day plan!

Lovely coffee shop.

Next to the book shop and the national trust shop for the Bodiam castle.

Cake was lovely.

There are restrooms as well but the gravel and narrow doorways mean I wouldn’t suggest it was the most accessible for wheelchairs.

Buggies are ok as long as they are sturdy.

Great views and plenty of tables inside and outside to enjoy the view from.

Visited the castle today with my partner and had a great day! A massive thank you to the national trust guide Steve who was at the front of the castle and was so helpful. He answered all our questions and shared so much knowledge with us about the castle and its history. Thank you to Steve, was really lovely to talk to you! It was a great afternoon out!

Now seems to be called the Wharf Cafe, serves a range of drinks, and snacks, handy to visit before or after your visit to Bodiam Castle
Plenty of seating in and out, many hungry ducks, and other birds after your crumbs. They even sell ice cream for dogs. Cash or card!, Toilets adjacent

It’s my birthday and I want to go somewhere special. I love the cafe here. It has a lot of vegetarian choices while you can also choose ham and cheese.

We had some warm food (it’s a cold day) and desserts. Very satisfied!
