NatWest should be ashamed of their employees at this Brixton branch. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life. This is the most unprofessional and incompetent staff I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. I don't go to this bank to be insulted by NatWest employees. I go because you closed down my nearest branch in Clapham Common. Therefore I am switching banks after 26 years as a loyal customer due to lack of confidence in your staff's competence to do their job. Hopefully other banks employees are actually qualified to do their jobs efficiently. At the very least hire employers with basic manners and common sense!

Generally speaking my experience at this branch has been very good so I would have rated 5 stars because the staff are usually nice and helpful, however, on one occasion during the summer of 2020 when Covid restrictions were limited, my mother was forced to wait in line for maybe 30 minutes to an hour in the rain only to be told that the person servicing at the counter, couldn't help. It was unbelievably ignorant. Had the person manning the door been trained in the processes of the bank all of that time spent being rained upon could have been saved. I just think that guards should have more training on which services are available so they can advise customers waiting outside.

Awful customer service. Only 2 people on the front line to deal with a queue of over 20 customers. I have never been in a bank where the queues are so long and so few people at the desk. Waited over an hour to be seen and because the matter was not dealt with properly, I had to go back again and there was another queue to the door. I commented on how unacceptable it was to waste so much of people's time, the response was a verbal 'shrug' from the manager and a horrible attitude and pointing finger from Abdul Aman, in his office, who totally disagreed that there was a problem with desk staff shortage, and blamed the problem on customers who won't use the machines. Disgraceful attitude and service.
I must add that the phone support I received earlier from Natwest Bereavement Service, was completely the opposite: helpful, efficient, patient, sensitive.

3 or 4 "express service" machines, yet only 1 was working, whilst there were long queues. However, when finally served by a cashier, the service was prompt and pleasant.

Queue for nearly half and hour to discover when I got in they do not show any difference between thous wanting to use the cashier and thous who want to use the machines to cash in cheques etc.
Mentioned this to the "security" man who was completly indifferent about it. Hopefully I wont have to pay in a cheque ever again and they can just close down the branch if they treat their customers so badly.
Had to give one star because I had too.

Long queues as usual , one teller wearing converse trainers with a fleece. Went in to sell euros and told by a teller male African American that they don't do foreign exchange which is a lie because the website says different. Natwest is terrible now its shocking
