If I could give no stars I would ,shocking customer service from Steve.He was unprofessional,rude and defensive and generally unhelpful and patronising.
Definitely letting the rest of the team down as I have always had great customer service from all other team members at this branch .
I have put in a formal complaint though judging from the reviews nothing will be done anyway as I can see his name name has been mentioned before.

I went to make an international transfer today and was assisted by Lesley. She was so so helpful. Took me through the whole process step by step and very patiently
She helped me save £22 which otherwise would have costed me as transfer fee. So very thankful to her. With all these mobile and Internet banking taking precedence and more and more branches closing down we are going to miss all these valuable services.

Well...atmosphere good, genuine sense of wanting to give a good overall service- No patronising " What is it you are here for" Good Lord, I thought I'd walked into a bank branch which required no explaination it was obvious and understood.
This is my named bank branch. I've moved away and visiting this branch was a relief, pleasant, interested unpatronishing staff. How pleasurable and confidence inducing this is. Perhaps my now place of residence, a South coast city not so far away could take example from the kind pleasant, know how to engage with customers and help. Knowledge counts, as does sincerity in service and not patronise.

I've used many banks and NatWest are by far the best. I've also visited many branches in the area and Crawley stands out for it's exceptional customer service and friendly staff. Steve in particular goes the extra mile to handle my enquiries and resolve my banking needs. Most customers won't appreciate the service until they've used other banks, but I for one am thankful. Keep up the good work!

I had an amazing experience today in the Crawley branch speaking to Sarat Rimal about my financial circumstances. He was very kind and understanding and outlined plenty of options for me to choose from moving forward. I have already recommended Sarat to friends and family to make an appointment with him. Disgraceful customer service from ‘Steve’. New policy of one person in the queue at the till at the time because of social distancing and privacy! Can’t see it being social distancing if they are gathering everyone at the bottom of the ramp. I explained that NatWest no longer treats the customer in a person facing role which I believe banking should be. ‘Steve’ was very defensive and not understanding what I was trying to say or rather really didn’t care. When my transaction was done he turned away and I heard him say that I could always go across the road. I asked him to repeat what he said and he said I could always go to Lloyds!! I have never been so taken aback by someone who is being paid by his customers with absolutely no regards for them. Disgraceful. I hope his Senior management see this and they too realise that when you go to a bank you do require a level of customer service and not everyone wants to deal with a machine. Very disappointed.
