I've always found customer service to be very slow. With ten people waiting and only one bank employee, customer service is abysmal. Second, what sense does it make to lock the cash deposit ATM's inside the building after hours? HSBC, right next door, has their cash deposit ATM's outside so people can deposit money anytime. One of the main reasons for having cash-in ATM's is so people can make a deposit after hours. Locking them inside defeats the purpose. I had just sold a car recently and had a load of cash. I wanted to deposit the cash, but couldn't access the cash-in ATM. Great job, Natwest.

Pretty awful customer service. Lunch time - busy period. Queue of 10 people waiting to see the 1 person on a desk seeing account holders, who is busy standing talking to someone about how their family is, while two other bank personnel stand with their hands in their pockets not dealing with anything at all. I know banks dont give a toss about their customers, but this is ridiculous. Standing here for 30 minutes now and still 5 people in front of me.

Lazy, unhelpful staff. I went in to make multiple transfers but the woman I spoke to kept trying to fob me off with a chequebook (who uses cheques in 2024!) because she clearly couldn't be bothered to do the fraud checks required to process the payments. And they wonder why branches are going under on a weekly basis?

Walked in today to get some of my cash sorted out and a wonderful lady at the gate greeted me and instantly helped me out. I can't remember her name on the tag but she was very helpful, professional and kind

Terrible to contact, speaking to a machine when you need to speak to somebody and bounced back and forward because you chose wrong words! No direct number to your branch, absolutely terrible service. Time to change banks I think after many years being with Nat West. To somebody with a branch nearby to!

Trying to do my tax assessment and visited the bank 2 days running where they are supposed to keep your banking details or have access to them for 6 years. I switched banks October 2023 and was told "my screen is blank there is nothing to show you"..... Subsequently I rang the nat west and after giving the account number etc I was told they will arrive within the week.
Totally unacceptable advice from the only nat west bank in Plymouth. Useless.

Every time I've asked for help they get me to do it through the app or on a machine, defeats the object of going to the bank.
Such a big space with few staff, I do feel for the staff as it must be difficult trying to keep the place going.

Staff at the Plymouth City Centre branch are always, in my personal experience, pleasant and helpful. However, I am just about to set off to pay cash in to the branch and checking the time it's closing today, as I'm rushing around - IT'S CLOSED!! Thursday 22nd June '23.....What customer service is this!! No customer care whatsoever....now what am I supposed to do, eh NAT West? There is no other way that I'm aware of and I need to deposit monies - now. Inconvenient isn't the word. Exasperation is an apt word! You have two stars and that's for your staff and not for the bank and customer care.
