We loved living in this house but unfortunately it got too big for us. Most repairs were dealt with, especially urgent ones but some were never fixed. Communication was good with this company. We had this house nearly 11 years. Deposit was returned promptly within 2 days.

Cannot thank Amy enough for all of her help recently. I’ve been renting a property with Northwood for around 1.5years, the property we’re in needs some work doing and she has gone above and beyond to make sure we know exactly what’s going on and are supplied with everything we need to ensure a stress free week whilst the work is being done. What a great team, from booking a viewing and meeting Fern to signing contracts with Sara and Beth and then having my inspection with Amy everyone has just been amazing at helping me settle in to my new flat. At first Northwood were super helpful - but that was only to get us on board! Moving into the property was so nice and easy, moving out has been a nightmare.

I can appreciate that everyone has a different standard of 'professional clean' and due to this, I followed the instructions Northwood sent to the letter. I also asked them several times if there was anything else they needed us to do. I got them to look around the property 3 weeks before the end of the tenancy. To which they gave me a few pointers (absolutely fine, happy to go back and do those) which we did with plenty of time. I emailed them several times to no avail for an update, to ask if they needed anything, to ask questions about the keys. They rang me to say everything in the property was fine, the full deposit would be given back, as I was rather worried about it. I appreciate this was going to be someone else's home and I wanted to do it right.

4 days before the end of the tenancy I received an email to say there was 'dust' that needed to be wiped. Personally, seemed a bit ridiculous, but sure. We went and wiped the dust and gave them back the keys (thinking it was 'done and dusted' excuse the pun.)

2pm, 1 day before the end of the tenancy they emailed us things they had not previously told us about, and said we had to pay 2 hours of cleaning. We could go back and get the keys if we wanted to do it ourselves. Rather difficult when you work 9-5 Monday - Friday, and their office was only open till 5, ensuring we had no other options.

I asked all the right questions, with plenty of time for things to be fixed, so to say I am rather angry and upset that Northwood completely disregarded this, told me several times it was all fine, and then asked me for money to fix issues they had never mentioned, has left rather a bitter taste in my mouth. I would hate this to happen to other hard working people, who have done their best to leave a property in a suitable condition.
