I've used Oddie Dalton for many years now. They do the online searches and checks before sending me a renewal reminder. If they find a cheaper insurer than the present one they send me the details and pricing for the cheaper one as well as supplying the comparative cost of the present insurer.
Only thing I'm not keen on is having to pay by debit card, cash or cheque as they don't accept credit card. Popped in the office to confirm the renewal and tender payment. Simple process. Previously I've rung through the confirmation and card details.

In all honesty we cannot recommend Oddie Dalton and Co (Nottingham). The reason is that we have lost £198,000 because they mis-sold a mortgage to us (via Jonathan Lightfoot). When we took the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman, Oddie Dalton, used their contacts (advisors) to phone the Ombudsman to flatter a vacuous woman who then sided with Oddie Dalton!
It was an absolute scam! We ended up losing our home at a time when our baby was dangerously ill in hospital.
