Steve, Steve and the team were brilliant. Efficient, friendly and went the extra mile to help me as I was coping with the move on my own. They were short staffed but did everything in record time. They are the reason I would recommend Pickfords to other people.

Includes 2 bits of advice for others. Professional, courteous and timely. Move staff on the day were good. Advice when getting a quote - get a detailed quote for insurance, ask for spreadsheet they will use to calculate premium - it’s not a flat 3% as quoted - my insurance amounted to 5% of value of goods. I may have used another provider on account of price. However, only one item broke and their insurer didn’t quibble with my claim. Second piece of advice - ask who their destination agent is and check their reviews on trust pilot or google. Also ask for a breakdown of the agents likely additional fees. I was mostly happy with the destination agent, although there were several additional charges.

The briefest of experiences but rather disorganised and unprofessional - I submitted my details through the website for a callback with a view to arranging a survey & quotation. I received a very prompt call from a noisy call centre environment, further interrupted by the sound of other operators dialling on other lines. The operator was poorly trained and coughed down the receiver into my ear. The accent was difficult to understand. Added to this, I had to repeat all the basic details I'd already submitted, only for the operator to enter them incorrectly and for us to start again. It clearly wasn't for security that I had to repeat them; he'd just been slung a phone number and that was it. My goal was for a survey and quotation which he assumed would be virtual. When I asked if an in-person survey might be available I had to be handed off to a "local branch". I gave up; if this is how much of a monkeys they give in sales mode I fear for what a move would look like.

Wish i read these reviews first.
Packing team did great!! (But thats where the good service stops) However George, who was contact, quoted a delivery time of around 30 days shipping to the US(and an extra 5-7 days for out stuff to arrive to our house) its been almost 60 days and nothing, emailed george but nor response.
Typical moving company shenanigans. Probably better off looking somewhere else, although i expect most to be this kind of archaic poor service. Would give 1 star, but added a star since the packing team was great.

Absolutely no!!!!
2 months over promises still no furniture and now no furniture for Christmas Xmas will be hard with no table and chairs and sentimental stuff
Been charged an extra 500$ here still waiting on my furniture and no one cares
Worst experience and helpless as no ombudsman! Be very careful trusting your life belongings with this company !!! I’m devastated and thousands f pounds worse off!

Used pickfords for an international move. Paid for the expensive moving insurance as well.
On moving day the removal guys refused to not wear shoes on my carpet or protect the carpet, despite me agreeing with my moving manager before hand. This was eventually sorted but left a very sour taste.
3 full days were allocated to the move.
Some of the packing was OK, but was generally rushed. A lot of things were thrown in randomly and not wrapped. This was an issue due to very high humidity in my shipping destination, so experienced discolouration of certain white goods.
The shipment arrived almost 7 weeks late. The goods sat in london for a month unecessarily.
During the move, noticed a lot of the walls being scuffed, due to basic unavoidable things like stacking boxes against walls. Walls could have easily been protected - exactly like the company who unpacked my goods did.
My main issue is that a lot of my items were damaged in transit, I am talking £15-£20k worth of damage.
So far the insurance company are fighting every item, where there is clear photo evidence that items were not wrapped/protected properly.
I have had a highly disappointing experience with pickfords - will update on recovery of damage

Do not use them! Their T&Cs exclude liability for all most anything..... Our stuff has been in storage with them and has come out stinking. no responses from their claims team. Their contact instantly quotes T&Cs at every term. Little care or customer service.

We have paid thousands for their "service" and they simply do not care about your stuff.
