Disgusting service.
I feel really bad for people that have this company managing their actual property and not just the land around it like us.
4 emails requesting a service we pay for to maintain and cut the grass surrounding our property, no response despite it looking jungle like. Decided I’ll just do it myself.
2 formal complaints to follow , no response.
Even after speaking directly to them nothing has progressed. £1032+ per year in management charges for them to cut the grass! And they don’t do it.
Laughable.
Housing ombudsman will be informed after the 8 week bracket has passed from my previous complaint. Not paying for a service I don’t receive.

The wall at the back of our house collapsed very easily due to the strong wind. I've been calling for three months, but they haven't come up with a solution, they say we can't repair the fences because the house is yours, what kind of understanding is this, they get money every three months without interruption. When we have a problem, they say we can't do it, and it's not our responsibility. What are we paying for? They do not produce any solution, I will complain to the council and stop pay management fee will continue to call until a solution.
Avoid this company….

I would give them 0 stars it I could. I paid 100£ holding deposit in June, they didn’t manage to move me in within 28 days (so I would have been homeless if I didn’t have anywhere to stay). They they confirmed they need to refund me that 100£ because it’s their fault and I have been chasing this refund for 8 months! Pretty sure there is no one behind their number and they have part time staff working 4 hours a week so every time I email I get out of hours email and no one wants to give me a refund. They have been giving me fake promises to refund this. I would never work with Melanie and Mohima if I could, I don’t get how anyone who rents with Plum Life and needs a repair ever gets it, I have never been able to go through on that number. Melanie was late on our viewing when I was on a tight schedule too. They promote the flat as 795£ Rent To Buy Scheme but that’s the rent with the discount from the government scheme so pretty sure it’s not even allowed to advertise it lke this with the discount! Avoid at all costs

Awful company. They don’t answer their phone, they don’t answer emails and they certainly do not “also act as an estate agent”, when it comes to selling your property.

Firstly, my rent increased five times within three years, far above inflation figures!

Secondly, when it came to selling my house, the whole process was made to be absolute hell. They took sub-par pictures of my house, never advertised it, and refused to do any viewings - I was made to do everything. All they did was put a ‘For Sale’ sign up and even then they didn’t contact me ONCE throughout my house sale (over 6 months).

They then took rent money from me after my house sale and are still yet to pay it back. This should have been cancelled by them a month ago. Honestly, I’m not sure this is even a real company as they are so poor at pretty much everything. Avoid using.

Had the most terrible experience with Plumlife trying to sell my home. No single point of contact. No accountability or urgency to assist. No out of office on. If you're not willing to chase every single day, nothing will get done.

They also provided me with inaccurate costs when originally enquiring about selling. Spent over £1.2k the original quote that Plumlife provided. Cost me more to sell than to buy in the first place!! Shambles of an organisation.

Shared equity is meant to be about affordable housing. I've come to realise it's a scheme for company's to take their pound of flesh and line their pockets.

Please avoid Plumlife for your good life.

1️⃣ - I was misled by the letting staff. He provided the wrong price for the room and stated that the deposit is non-refundable, which I find unethical😓

2️⃣ - Lving here for 7 months, the heating controller has been broken for six months. I reported the issue twice when it first happened, but no one addressed it until about two weeks before I was set to move out.

It is okay without heating, but I received a bill for £621 over three months for heating and hot water (which only covers hot water, i need to pay for water and electricity extra). I tried to resolve the issue with the ironworks and the supplier, but they kept passing responsibility back and forth, leaving me to figure out the problem on my own.

There have been several issues here. I even have to check my own camera in my room when I travel because there are safety concerns, and there are no cameras in my hallway.

Anyway, I’m happy to be moving out soon as this place don't felt like "home."

3️⃣ When I moved out, the agent told me that the deposit would be refunded after 14 days. It has been a month since I moved out, and I still haven’t received my deposit back.

Avoid at all costs. I have been waiting for a 100£ refund since July as they failed to move me in a flat a paid for deposit for. They kept being on 'annual leave', not responding, saying the flat will be ready soon. If it was up to them I would be homeless. They confirmed they owe me the deposit as they failed to move me in 30 days and still haven't done so. It's despicable how they treat someone's living situation with such neglect.

I applied for a property with Iron works through plum life who manage the management and letting. I was struggling to gain a reference from my previous landlord due to the landlord outlining that they do no do references. I advised this continuously to plum life and I received a call on the 18th of July from a lady from plum life outlining that this was in hand and would contact me the very next morning with the solution. Today is the 11th of September with no response or contact from plum life. I have emailed numerous times with no response from plum life outlining I want a refund of my 100 pound that I placed to secure the property. This company is awaiting for the 90 days to run through so they do not have to refund it. Avoid this company and at all costs and avoid applying for ironworks as you will be met with this company.
