Taken out an annual travel policy like you should to protect yourself & belongings. Come to make a claim for genuine reasons after the recent delays… my case been damaged & travel expenses after been diverted to another airport & im told in the small print I’m not covered as I didn’t get a report from a member of staff in the airport. So at 3am in the morning no staff to be seen and 100’s of people trying to get home !!!
It’s ok getting insurance but not worth paper written on if it doesn’t pay out for what it’s saying you’re covered for!

Had a camera damaged by rain in Pompeii. On arrival back home I advised Puffin that the camera was damaged. I sent the camera, an RX100 vi to Sony who reported the damage might be too bad to totally repair. Provided Puffing with the report, plus an offer from Sony to provide a new camera at half price totalling £554. Puffin accepted the claim and I had a new camera in two weeks.

Terrible, will not use again. Paid for gold package.
My baggage was delayed by 48hours and they refused to cover cost occurred due to the delay which is covered in the policy. Every email asking for different information with a new excuse. Once provided all information they required, they then asked for the same information again, with weeks between correspondents. Just trying to avoid paying out. Then they stopped responding to emails all together. Calling them, you get different information again. Do not use.

Another scam insurance doing everything to avoid paying out. Someone described here similar problem - baggage delay for two days and table says 50£ every 12 hours - on the phone the lad says I'm not entitled for the compensation. Had to purchase another thickets to get back home (original ones were in the lost baggage) again not entitled to compensation even though it should be covered under 4.2 where I should be able to continue my trip. I wander what excuses they have when it comes to medical costs. Avoid at all costs.

Never again! The process for making a claim is just filled with avoidance, delays and bureaucracy which stops people from making a claim!

Wife was in hospital when we were due to travel. Did not accept all the evidence we sent. Kept asking for more and more. Even though we sent letters from the hospital showing the dates she was it.

They just don’t want to pay out!

Not very useful to have opening hours from 9-5pm Monday to Friday if you're dealing with travel and accidents =)
