I would highly recommend Q Financial Services to anyone looking to get their first (or fifth, or however many!) mortgage. The team are approachable, knowledgeable, caring and proactive.

We came to Q as jaded and exceedingly anxious first time buyers, having been recently gazumped and during which the broker we were originally recommended to completely ignored us for a week and left no other person on their out of office or alternative means of contacting them. Ben Wootton, by contrast, was a breath of fresh air, he listened to the poor experience we had and the worries it had left us with; was sympathetic and clearly very knowledgeable. Ben always gave clear advice and shared the benefits of his experience so we knew what we should be doing when. We really felt like he was on our side during the process of finding and purchasing our first home. Our experience of buying for the first time has taught us that the only person really looking out for your interests is your broker, so get a good one! Ben was more than happy to "idiot-splain" anything and everything we asked him about so we understood exactly what we were getting into at all times. He was a friendly face in an extremely unfriendly and hostile process. Life-Saver and genuine good guy!

Talking to his colleague Kirsty felt like confiding in an old friend who you know has your back, she proactively called us to ask how things were going and offered ongoing support. She is Ben's right hand and so genuinely lovely to converse with, I am going to miss our conversations. Kirsty knew exactly how to help me feel confident in what was a very stressful process and cheered us on, lamented when we lost out or hit a road-bump, then boosted our confidence back up with clear, sound advice. She called to congratulate us when we got our house and is that rare type of person who remembers little details like trips you mentioned taking and asked how it went.

Finally, Q Financial services are up to a challenge; our circumstances were not always straightforward and the property we fell in love with was subject to a VERY short exchange timeline. Q got us over the finish line with a smile, a wink and a pat on the back. Don't worry about trawling through decent brokers, Ben and Kirsty are the dream team you need!
