If you are after the world’s slowest and most terrible solicitors then this is the company for you! Absolutely shocking.. had the absolute horror of dealing with this firm for my dad’s estate. What was already a terrible sad time for our family was made even more difficult and painful by dealing with these incompetent people. Took about 3 years in total to work through everything, which is of course is in their interest as they charge for every single email / call they make. Dealt with about 5 different people during this time as people working there kept leaving (which further cemented the fact that not only is this a shocking place for a client to deal with but must be a nightmare to work for also). I cannot stress this enough - DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!

Used Quanticks for our house sale because they previously did our wills and we were happy with the service. This time, they did the job, but the communication was appalling. Our situation made it more complicated, but we were able to communicate with other people in the process (estate agent, trades) but Quanticks were terrible. Repeatedly used the wrong email address despite being told it was wrong, I was never able to access their portal (probably because they set it up with the wrong email address), didn’t tell us they needed authorisation emails at certain points and then sent irritable chasing emails because we hadn’t sent them, they completely ignored an email sent the week before exchanging which resulted in them incorrectly redeeming our mortgage. I could go on. They got the job done, but I wouldn’t use them again.

To put it bluntly.
QUANTICKS ARE UNPROFESSIONAL The lady dealing with our M&D’s estate went on maternal leave. My brother sent them flowers to say good luck. They sent an e-mail to acknowledge and say thank you. We were shocked and disappointed that our M&Ds estate was charged £27.50+VAT for that thank you. DO NOT USE THEM.
QUANTICKS OVERCHARGE They charged my parent’s estate 1% +VAT for being executers of the will. They also charge for each phone call/e-mail they send and receive. There are 8 beneficiaries. Do the maths. They are milking the estate. Their preferred accountant has charged the estate of £800+VAT to complete a simple IHT calculation. It beggars belief. DO NOT USE THEM.
QUANTICKS ARE VERY VERY SLOW
Mum died over 2 years ago from Covid. It’s a cash estate. They are STILL dealing with my Mum’s estate. A cash estate and still they have not managed to distribute all the funds. They have provided the slowest service you can imagine. DO NOT USE THEM.
QUANTICKS ARE POOR COMMUNICTORS
It has been over 6 months since they last communicated with us and they blame other agencies HMRC and their accountant etc. They never admit/accept any blame/liability/responsibility for their tardy service. DO NOT USE THEM.
QUANTICKS ARE INCOMPETENT
When my Mum was in a home, we sold the home to pay for her fees. They delayed the sale (we nearly lost it) because they were waiting and waiting for Land Registry for a response. The original request to register land was completed by them on an old internal e-mail. This email was not in use anymore. I only found this out when I chased Land Registry to find out what was happening. Land Registry sent Quanticks several e-mails, but Quanticks failed to respond. Quanticks blamed Land Registry for their tardy service. DO NOT USE THEM.

QLAW cashed all Mum's ISA and bank accounts and bonds etc. ALL earning interest within the first week. All these accounts were earning interest at £50k per year. Mum's estate lost a significant amount of money from interest. They could have closed these accounts nearer the date of distribution of funds. They are complete idiots.. and did not act in my parents best interests. DO NOT USE QLAW

Terrible firm, avoid, they are in my experience a dishonest and rude company. I get the impression that they are a firm that works on the basis of 'whenever its convenient to them'. Having used them before this will certainly be the last. I bought a property in 2013 and Heather Geisler had dealt with the sale, she was faultless. She sadly no longer works there. I ultimately had to ask for the money on account to be returned as they failed to do anything and completely wasted my time, forcing me to go elsewhere!

After instructing them on a lease extension Quanticks sat on it for 4 months from the register of the sale, even longer when you factor when I had initially instructed them. They insisted on the property being registered with the Land Registry, probably to buy them more time. They failed to make any contact whatsoever with the lender in 7 months! They had the audacity to say that they had initiated the process with the lender but after checking myself they did not! So a simple lie. In the meantime with every delay, I was liable to higher lease extension costs, thankfully I was dealing with an understanding freeholder who didn't increase the lease costs.

Quanticks were generally unresponsive when calling to ask for updates or emailing them for the same. To top it off when the case was passed from Stephanie (who just gave up in handling the case) to Natasha (who runs the conveyancing team), she had the audacity to rudely claim that I was telling them how to do their job. No, I just wanted an update on my case and was simply frustrated by the unacceptable delays caused by Quanticks. Avoid this firm unless you simply want grief and stress at a cost. Shockingly bad.

I have previously left a 1 star review which was removed because we were not direct clients of quanticks. We were however part of a chain for which Quanticks were solicitors for our buyers buyers. Hopefully this review will be accepted this time as I have made clear that we were directly affected by Quanticks incompetence. I believe that anyone in a chain that is affected by the incompetence of a solicitor whether it is their solicitor or not should be able to leave a review on trust pilot. Other review sites allow reviews for this sort of scenario to be left. Google reviews for instance is a true representation of quanticks reliability and professionalism. Please find below my previous review: If I could leave no stars I would. This company should not be practicing conveyancing. So many mistakes were made. Forgot to order the following: Maintenance pack, Fire Safety, etc..... etc..... believe me the list goes on...… They allowed us to the point of exchange and completion (Same Day) and then only realised on this day that they had not dealt with an issue on ground rent which actually took 3 more months for them to resolve. Save yourself the grief and go with another company. It took 7 months for ours to go through because of this company.

Daley’s we’re competent solicitors who worked our house purchase.
They did their work but were not proactive and did not reply to calls from us or our estate agent throughout the process.
We found them to be adequate but if you are looking for solicitors who will support and help you through a purchase we would not recommend.

I contacted QLaw and got straight through to Clare Chappell(other solicitors wanted to take numbers and someone would call me back a few days later), she was very easy to reach on the phone and email, super efficient and got the job done in a way I was absolutely astonished with. I’m confident that if you have her as your solicitor too that you will also be very impressed!!
