Unbelievable! I deposited money and want to withdraw to buy a home. They send a code in the post, Royal mail. They will not send it any other way. I have waited for code for 6 weeks and nothing has arrived. Requested code again and it has not arrived after over a week. Customer service are nice but nothing gets done! Royal mail are responsible or bank? Outdated way to allow customer to release money. Bank elsewhere where it takes an hour for your funds to arrive, not where your your future home hangs on a letter Royal Mail may never deliver!

Future customers should be aware that this company operates strictly by the book, with no leeway for negotiation or acknowledgment of returning customers. I would advise others to consider whether this approach aligns with their expectations of customer service.
Other than this, never had to deal with them before so “OK” I guess.

As other posters have pointed out, beware - if you’re looking to withdraw money from your account, the only sanctioned method is receiving a code in the post (which may take some time to arrive, or not arrive at all). Not ideal if you require timely access to savings, especially with accounts that already require notice to withdraw money.

Also easy to lock yourself out of the account, requiring a phone call to reset passwords and/ or security questions.

Archaic way of operating.

Avoid this bank , for the last 4 months i have sent countless details (statements , sort codes , account numbers etc) of many bank accounts in the post covering 5 years to prove the funds are legit , every other bank have accepted large deposits with evidence first time , not worth wasting more time trying to prove that i am not a criminal , instead the banking ombudsman , consumer watchdogs and social media users will be informed.

Horrific customer service, I would not trust them with your money. Plenty of other providers who offer better quality products and are more 'on the ball'.

Took advantage with the favourable high interest rates offered by RCI in comparison elsewhere. So I opened a 3 year fixed term bond. All straightforward and pretty seamless. The account is accessible online via the app. Great so far!

Absolutely shocking bank! I opened an account with this bank without looking at the reviews. Biggest mistake. I transferred money to the account no problems but I decided I just wanted to keep my money and have sent loads of emails and private messages but had no reply. My 14 days to get in contact are almost up so my money will be locked for 2 years. Also been on the phone over the last couple of days all 1 hour+ and still they haven’t answered. Absolutely shocking

Early last month was looking for an instant access account that paid a good rate of interest (1.98%) on a monthly basis. Their Freedom account ticked the boxes and was easy to set up on-line. I received texts to confirm the paying in of any amounts. I have rung their helpline a couple of times and the calls were answered quickly and professionally. Would consider them for fixed rate bonds etc in the future.
