Before anything else, what matters is a decent amount of sellers and the quality and variety of what they sell.
In this instance, it's all there. I list below the other positive points:
> car park with plenty of space
> dedicated car park and entrance for disable people
> a row of portable loos
> plenty of food and drinks vans

I am probably forgetting something, but as it is I give it a nice 4 stars !

That carboot quality is went down massively. We used to go there but the the last two year was horrible. Expensive, there are almost just gypsies who (try to) sell rubbish if they are not trying to stealing something, overcrowded, full of rubbish. It's a big shame hence it was a good carboot. It was. I'm out from there and never go back again.

Busy car boot sale near St Albans. Parking is easy. £3 entrance fee is reasonable when parking is free.

The queue to get in was horrendous due to an monster truck event in the other field but plenty space for parking once in there. Good day out and found some bargins.

Stalls range from bady/kids clothes, toys, tools, electrical goods, bikes and books.

Buyers bit tight. £1 prices still too expensive. Best way would be if u paid them to take your stuff. Very fussy. You lucky if have your money back for fuel and entry fee.

Nicely organised, can find some gems!

After 11am the entry per adult is only £1,
11-12 is £2, and early entry is £3.

There are toilets (though not always clean and no soap) which is a bonus for anyone with potty trained kids.

Reasonable car boot. We like it because it opens later than others, and there's really nice views around. I'd say there's too many "professional" sellers who sell slightly dodgy pre-priced stuff (e.g. today I saw labour info kits that are free being sold for £5! Someone clearly taking advantage.) so it'd be nice to see more regulation and traditional sellers. Not bad to get out on a Sunday afternoon.
