I use this gym regularly as live in the village , it's a good little place to train but went over there this morning as it stated on website that it's open from 8am to 3pm but once I got there it was all locked up , you need to sort out your opening times and stick to them as people rely on this place not only for there physical fitness but also there mental health .

We attended a drop in session for gymnastics and I was very please with the amount of equipment they had for all different ages. We popped into the cafe and was served by a happy, polite employee with great customer service, I believe his name was James. Very clean and great hospitality.
They had a wide range of snacks and drinks for the kids and also high chairs for the little one.
Overall we were happy with our experience there😊

This place is atrocious. I joined here as I recently opened an office within a mile of the centre and speaking as a personal trainer who has visited many many gyms, this is possibly the worst I've ever been to.

It's dirty, the equipment is falling apart, the numbers are worn off most of the weights (very dangerous), the treadmills sound like they're about to collapse under the weight of a feather, the management of space is non-existent, everything is outdated, they don't play music, changing rooms stank of weed, archaic open showers with absolutely zero privacy (open shower room is wide open into the changing rooms so they are essentially the same room)... I could go on. The staff were friendly enough although I had to wait 5 minutes for the receptionist to finish his phone call (which sounded like he was on a disciplinary call) just to find out where the changing rooms are. I was in the gym for around an hour and didn't see a member of staff in the gym area once.

This place is beyond redemption. You expect a little more from Everyone Active and their membership prices. This place would be better burned down and rebuilt. I don't think the amount of work needed, to refurbish this place, would be financially viable.

I cancelled my membership in the car park after I left, it's that bad.

I really hate to be so negative about a gym but people need to know. If anyone is rating this above 1 or 2 stars I would suggest they either work their or they have never been to a different facility and this is their benchmark.

Even if this is your only option, I would suggest staying away and going for a run outdoors, instead.

Just been to a drop in session for gymnastics with the little ones, great atmosphere and plenty of equipment for them. We popped into the cafe afterwards they had plenty choices of snacks and enough highchairs to go around spoke to a bubbly member of staff who's name was James.

I've been a member for years and chose this site because of the value for money as all classes were included. I'd visit for Pilates, Yoga, circuit & body toning. Post covid i'd fallen off the exercise tree and needed to boost my confidence and mental health so started to use the gym, I didn’t make use of all of the equipment so decided to book some PT sessions, it's been a game changer! Paul is great to train with and I would thoroughly recommend. I feel the gym is dated, the equipment does it job but I can't help feeling I'm missing out on using more modern equipment. I guess if I visited my other local gym, Harpenden, I may get this but I'm not prepared to pay the higher prices....so....I'm getting what I pay for perhaps, although I no longer do the classes just PT.
It's a shame the centre isn't open longer over the weekend.
It's an intimate gym and if you're a regular it's great to see the same friendly faces.
5* for Paul and our PT sessions😃
3* for the centre 😕

Great classes with enthusiastic instructors.
The gym is newly refurbished and adequate for keep fit.
I just go there for the yoga.
£20 per month for the basic membership which is the gym and most classes, another £5 for unlimited swimming at Westminster Lodge in St Albans.
I would have given 5 stars of there were a few more key pieces of gym equipment.
