I have had the support of the team at Rodliffe Accounting for a couple of years now and couldn't be happier with the way my account has been managed. Any issues I've had are dealt with quickly and effectively - David and the guys are always keen to help and easily reachable.

After errors, and unexpected increases in fees, when we wanted to close our account and move to another accountancy, we were squeezed for additional fees, before finally managing to move to a better accountant.
I don't think it's reasonable for any service provider to try and squeeze additional fees from a leaving customer, because they hadn't accurately forecast their cost. The director said they were losing money on our account, as if this was our culpability, and the few (around one per month) email questions about our accounts was not exactly substantial.
The individual accountants are perfectly fine and diligent, but the senior employees account management and way of speaking to customers could be much improved.

Ok service but unfortunately several mistakes were made on my accounts with not one apology received! That's the main reason for my review, when a mistake is made I feel that an apology should be made, you don't just move on.

Even after this review, still no apologies made. I have several examples but I'll just give one for starters. I advised Rodliffe that the client I was working for was not eligible for a VAT charge. Approx a month (maybe more) after I had informed them - my VAT return became due and I was told it didn't matter whether my VAT was chargeable to the client I would still need to pay it. As my accountant I would have expected this advice when I informed them about the clients VAT status before the return was due. I had to escalate to David the owner / manager to ask if anything could be done. David resolved this but there was no apology! If I had not escalated the issue I would have had to pay the amount calculated on the VAT return and lost money.

Happy to provide further examples if needed. But as I said, the main reason for the review is when mistakes are made apologies need to be given.
