A big thanks to Simon for helping me submit my tax return!
His extensive knowledge on seafarer deductions and other tax benefits alongside his great communication and understanding has left me feeling much more confident (and more financially stable) compared to my last accountant!

Retiring from full time employment and being asked to provide a consultancy service using my knowledge and experience in training in my industry to companies whom I had been working with most of my career, was a lovely feeling and something to look forward to with hours to suit me and my family.
But Book Keeping, Tax, Tax Returns put the fear of god in me, after speaking with my financial consultant he suggested I contact Simon at S J Sheldon Accountancy and I have to say it was the best thing I have ever done.
Simon is very knowledgable and experienced he has eliminated all my fears and trepidation, his help and advice is always welcome always available at the end of a phone and has been valuable in pointing me in the right way regarding record keeping and what can and cannot be claimed regarding Tax Self Assessment Returns, in fact two returns in he has saved me money and sorted out my overpayment of tax when I was in full time employment.

I was recommended to Simon from a friend as being self-employed, I use to think that dealing with my own taxes was a mine-field and my annual tax return was due again...Simon gave me the reassurance and confidence to just pass all of my financial documents, receipts etc to him and he would take care of everything...I didn’t do him any favours by giving him my documents very close to the deadline but it was the best decision I made to use Simon as within approximately 48 hours, he was all done sending my information electronically to the HMRC. It is exceptionally difficult to find an accountant who understands the differences and similarities between a standard company and a Social Enterprise, Simon understands and is knowledgeable in both, he is also a valuable source of advice & information, another rarity. Need an accountant, get in touch with this man. He managed to sort out my husband's tax return as he was in a terrible state trying to work it out for himself. He sorted it in good time and no fuss.
