⚠ Beware of this company! ⚠

After purchasing car insurance, they started asking a lot of additional questions, including requesting full passport details/pages—even though this information was already provided during the purchase. Then, they suddenly added an extra premium of over £1,000.

I was initially willing to pay, but they insisted on taking card details over the phone in 2025—something I’m not comfortable with. Their website states that payments can be made online through the customer dashboard, but in reality, no such option exists.

On top of all this, they still haven’t refunded my money!

Avoid this company at all costs. 🚨

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY.

Absolute disgraceful experience with this firm over the last 15 months. My insurance broker Bennetts got my policy with these guys, and my word absolute shambles is an understatement.

Upon claiming, Sabre tried getting £101.02 for a previous claim back in 2022 when I had a van do a hit and run into my car, which I managed to claim from the third party I'll add at the time.

With a non-fault claim I have going on now through my broker and through Sabre, Sabre have delayed my payment (despite the third party admitting fault and paying up) by 14 months due to the above paragraph, eventually I won and surprise surprise, they forgot my excess...

And apparently my excess was used for storage and recovery costs? Recovery and storage I didn't even ask for... And costs once again my third party have already paid! Sabre aren't interested in anything I have to say so having to use my broker Bennetts to get through to their ludicrous mindset to pay up. I'll add this is a non-fault claim which I passed CCTV evidence of this hit and run to Sabre to claim ALL costs from the third party.

Honestly, avoid Sabre, avoid Bennetts. Both are awful.

This experience has been absolutely appalling. I was charged nearly 10,000 pounds a year for my car insurance, but my messages have been ignored, and my request for a refund of my premium following the cancellation of my policy has been refused. They claim there is a recorded claim on my policy, but that claim was made in error, and I have requested its closure multiple times, only to have my requests ignored. The claims team has used a threatening tone and interrogated me for information. They seem to disregard my messages entirely, responding like robots with predetermined responses.

If you are reading this, I strongly advise you to avoid this company. Purchasing insurance from them may be easy, but obtaining a refund or resolving an issue will be nearly impossible.

Because of a technicality Sabre paid for my car repairs saying they would claim off the AA and reimburse me my excess as the other driver admitted liability. This was back in May 2024. Four months later and still out of pocket, Sabre claimed that the AA have not responded to their requests for reimbursement and that they were taking legal action. The reason the AA did not respond is that Sabre used the wrong email address! (or so Sabre claims). I finally called the AA myself and sorted everything out with one simple phone call. When my contact at Sabre then called me to say everything is settled (which I already knew) I asked her why she didn’t bother calling the AA by telephone, leaving me to do her work for her. After a long pause she said she didn’t know. Hopeless!

It is an excellent company, everything is good and they deal with us kindly. I hope to buy another car and register it with go girl. However, when I transferred the ownership to my wife and then told them about the transfer process, they asked us for fees. I do not know why, even though my wife is with me at the same address and the same house.
