We booked a table after passing on our morning dog walk as tourists.
We had a lovely evening. The menu was simple but surprisingly difficult to choose from. We tasted oysters, mussels, scallops, sea bass and a lovely curry. It was a pleasant evening and obviously a busy afternoon. The music was to our taste - in the background - not too loud. Shout out to Miguel for his great service and the Manager (sorry, didn’t get a name) for a great introduction and a lovely chat at the end which led to us bringing our dog home a Woof Bar! Definitely recommend.

When we entered the restaurant there were 4 customers. We gave our order 1 haddock meal and 1 lite bite haddock meal. We waited 40 minutes for the food to arrive.
The lite bite fish was so thin and over cooked making impossible to cut into rendering it inedible, we sent it back.
We were informed that the "Chef" had agreed to fry another - no apology. We refused on the grounds that there were issues with the whole of the order. It was poor quality, poor value and I'll prepared.
The chips were barely warm and were clearly reheated, the mushy peas were cold. The bread was some kind of brown sliced roll 2 slices of which had a slightly damp consistency. On the plus side when leaving the serving staff were sympathetic.
We will not be returning as there are real fish restaurants in Bridlington

Just won an evening stay with breakfast included . Just got to tell everyone what a wonderful evening we had. Room was so tastefully done and comfortable. Ribeye steak in the lovely restaurant faultless. Very friendly staff. Although we live in Bridlington we felt we were miles away. Overlooking the sea and harbour. Always interesting to watch. Will definitely go back again to Salt. But Thank-you everyone included for a fantastic evening.

We came in for a meal, the location is lovely, we had a table looking out at the harbour. A lovely place to sit and look over the harbour.
Can’t fault the service, everyone we dealt with was very professional.
Neither me nor hubby had an issue with the food.

The only issue with the food was that the kitchen added a salad to my scampi and chips. I know they were being nice. I have an eating disorder, I have an issue with smell, taste and texture.
When I go out to eat, I have to find something on the menu that won’t set my eating disorder off.
Please don’t add things to peoples plates, that aren’t on the menu. I also have to accept that you gave me fresh chips and a plate. Though in reality you probably didn’t, because the food came out pretty quickly after I sent it back.

We came from Leeds to see the beach and get some fish and chips. Only salt was open so we went in for some food. Even though they had stopped serving food a very nice staff member got us some chips for free that were left over and he apologised if they were cold but they were great so there was no apology needed!! We then bought some ice cream before leaving and it was delicious! Would recommend the staff are lovely and the ice cream bangs!

Great little gem in Bridlington. Fantastic sea food and really nicely presented inside. Great wine. My only gripe and it is tiny is that there isn’t much choice, other than that it’s well worth a visit and a must if you are in Bridlington for a few days

Quirky place on the harbour side. Really enjoyable one night stay. The food was was very good , particularly the mussels. I would say good value. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Also they have a free parking arrangement. Don't pay for the parking on the adjoining parking area without checking in first.
