A beautiful apartment, fabulously appointed to a very high spec. Great location for seeing the Town, and very useful to have secure underground parking. We were slightly worried about the views being over the working docks and estuary, but need not have worried as they were stunning - with huge windows to enjoy the outlook. The proximity to the train track was a bit bothersome, as you couldn't hear the television with the balcony doors open when a train went past, but it was a small issue and we soon got used to it. No noise at all when the doors and windows were shut. All in all a great place, and one we shall return to.

It is not often that my wife and I make a point of reviewing our stay at any accommodation during our travels, but Heathcliff in Brixham was a wonderful experience!

Provided by Saltwater Escapes, the hilltop apartment boasted excellent facilities and stunning views of both Brixham Harbour and Torbay as a whole.

As a family of four, with two small children, we found the living space large and inviting, especially having a private glass-balustraded balcony perfectly placed to enjoy the magnificent summer sunsets to the west over the Dartmoor hills.

The bright, roomy bedrooms are comfortable and calming, while also perfect for those who wish to be greeted with the morning sun before heading out for a five minute walk to the tidal pools below (although, I will add that the hillsides are extremely steep for little ones, so bare that in mind before heading out). The master en-suite was well-sized and much appreciated!

The kitchen felt as equipped as a five-star resort chalet, fully modernised and inviting for those nights where the budding chefs among us would wish to flex the culinary skills. The coffee machine was a nice touch, especially with energetic children bouncing with excitement for the day's activities.

I would recommend Heathcliff to both families and adult-only groups not only for its perfect location in a highly sought-after area of both Brixham andTorbay as a whole, but also the warmth and comfort provided. It is in walking distance to Shoalstone Beach, Berry Head National Nature Reserve and the beautiful views from the Brixham Breakwater.

We are already wanting to book our stay for next year!

Thank you Saltwater Escapes!

Our stay at The Rooftop lounge was perfect, the views from the apartment stunning (the trains didn't bother us st all) Spotlessly clean and everything new. Apartment has everything you need (apart from hair dryer ). 1 min from town centre. 5 mins from train station.

Amazing stay at a really snazzy apartment! The heated flooring was a god send and the balcony was so spacious.
Wonderful to be greeted with a cold bottle of rosé in the fridge.
The mattress was a little too soft for me and my partners liking, but we’re used to a stone mattress!
Lots of cutlery and cookware provided which is nice, however there is no where to store food! We had to prop bread and non fridge food on the table.
Also had lots of fun watching the seagull nests, however they get a little rowdy at night.
Shoutout to the train, thought it would be annoying, but was actually quite standard.
I would love to come back!

We stayed at Limpet Cottage in Brixham for three nights in July '24. We were sent detailed information about the house and area and clear instructions about how to find the house and parking. We also received a phone call the morning after our arrival from Saltwater Escapes to check that we were happy with everything (we were!).The house itself was charming and quirky and suited our party of 4 adults well. It was very quiet, but we loved being able to walk to the centre of Brixham within 5 minutes. The house was well-equipped and we very much appreciated all the welcome 'goodies' that were left for us. The weather was not very good during our visit so we did not need to use the outside space; however this is the one area that could do with a bit of improvement. A new table and chairs and an additional bench plus a few pot plants would make all the difference. We found plenty to do in the area, from walking to Berry Head Nature Reserve to paddleboarding in one of the many secluded coves. We would definitely like to return to Limpet Cottage in the future.

Had a lovely 3 days here. The property is in great condition and a ten minute walk along a coastal path to Brixham. Great view across the water to Torquay and secure parking. The only thing to bear in mind is that it is small. Recommended.

Really enjoyed the stay. The only real issue is the parking if you are not fit and healthy. The shortest route is 50% uphill, the longer route has 200mtrs of steep uphill, then downhill and flat. You also will not get a large vehicle close for unloading/ loading, it’s a real squeeze. All that being said we enjoyed it and have booked again next year

The Harbour House Town house is really well equipped, very comfy beds and lovely fixtures and fitting. Unfortunately not all internal bins were empty and no tea-towels or dishcloths provided. The shower drains also needed to be cleared to allow the water to drain away. Only small issues but they could have been easily done before we arrived. The outside space is slightly misleading, the main seated area are up some very steep steps so not suitable for littles ones or people that are less mobile.
