AVOID AVOID AVOID, Dealt with some unprofessional fool named Martin Cunningham, worst service ever, fails to keep you informed always having to try to chase him up (he will ignore your calls and forward you to voicemail) if you call SDl on the 0800 number they seem to have to check with martin and he's very rarely contactable (seems to go on annual leave a hell of a lot) the most you will get from him is a text at the end of the day saying he'll contact you the next day then doesn't, you have to chase him up again, Unless you have months of time to spare I would recommend using another service. He also fails to abide by his clients instructions, will pull your property from auction without consulting, fails to update himself on interest in your property, appalling service

Bought a property listed as 2bed. Property was boarded up and I was told could not be viewed. I successfully bid for the property. The property is a one bedroom. SDL say that the put a disclaimer they had not viewed the property I have no concerns about the condition of the property (listed as needing cosmetic upgrades. Has no ceiling no doors, fo windows) but how do you sell property as a 2 bedroom when it’s a one bedroom.

Very nervous period selling a house by Auction but Scott walked us through the process explaining why we had to start at a certain price to attract bidders, and trust in the value that we had all agreed it was worth. He was there for all our questions all the way through the process.
Dean kept us up to date on how many bidders we had, how things were going,
SDL staff did a fantastic job.
Would definitely use again

See the reviews: all sellers "were originally nervous but eventually happy" - seems like a template comment to me - all buyers mad at this agency. I'm with the latter, and I won't be a buyer with SDL. Contacted them 2 weeks ahead, kept in touch proactively, almost always speaking to a different person, proposed a date from the beginning, was told 2 days prior it'd have to be the next. Disappointed, I managed to move things around my schedule and asked for the date they proposed, only a little later due to transportation constraints, was told no way and offered other dates. They'll do nothing for buyers, and I can't be sure the happy sellers are real either. If you ask me, it all seems like a bit of a set-up. BTW, I don't know if it's all they do, but they buy and resell properties that are "difficult to sell" otherwise. Look into it. I did and I didn't like what I found. Utter waste of time.

Jazmine Stone, Customer Service Skills totally bland. No introduction, very negative attitude. Assistants saying that she was at Lunch, then stating yes she is working but carnt find her. I've dealt with idiots better than this.. So glad I've gone else where..

Attempted to register to bid on a property. Dean left me an answer phone message to enquire if I needed help which I thought was excellent. I phoned back to SDL and was advised he was on lunch and would return my call which didn't happen which was disappointing especially as the auction is the following day and I now cannot take part. I would have spoken with someone else if Dean had not contacted me asking me to phone and then being advised he would call me back. Poor customer service!!!

Maybe i should have sent my formal complaint in via Google reviews seeing as I got a response within 3 hours instead of waiting 3 weeks for an acknowledgement, going completely against your complaint policy in which I should have received an acknowledgement within 3 days. I hold no hope for your reply to be in any kind of timely manner.
Your regional sales manager never once corrected himself after having several chances. He didn't apologies until I asked to make a formal complaint which them prompted his apology, probably to cover his own back. It's a pretty big oversight. One that has cost me time and money.

I am extremely disappointed with this auction company's unprofessionalism. They provided me with an undervalued house price, leading me to invest time and money in securing a mortgage. Only later did I discover their regional sales manager had given me the wrong price, and they refused to present my offer. No apology was offered. Even after filing a formal complaint, I received no response for three weeks. Terrible customer service and a complete lack of accountability.
