I contacted Sedgewick following contact with my insurance company after storm damage to the roof of my house. It took a week for them to attend. I had also given them availability and they managed twice to arrange a visit when I was not available. Not a shining example of “Emergency” cover. looks like it’s time to change home insurance !

There mission statement is Helping People, restoring property, preserving brands and empowering performance. What a joke the engineer who came to my property clearly didn't want to help in fact he made it worse!

My boiler was loosing pressure and it was a faulty pressure relief valve, no work carried out on this ! After the Engineer agreed it was the PRV he put my boiler at risk because of the flue outside ! No repair to help a household with a disabled person residing there.

The flue itself has been assessed each year for 8 years and surprisingly never been identified as a risk. We spoke to Gas Safe and there is no legislation, only guidance on correct placement .

I asked the engineer to leave my property and not come back. He didn't follow my instruction and returned approximately 20 minutes later, this behaviour could be seen as imposing /challenge.

I have been with Policy Expert for three years now but I will not be going forward if Sedgwick are their approved contactors.

I would have reported to head office before this review but I was unable to get through to them, again not really helping people!

No ID shown, van not sign written up, I am hoping that I am writing about a Sedgwick Engineer?

Update -

The engineer decided it was appropriate to call out Northern Gas Networks emergency team because I would not have him place a sticker on my boiler! You can guess what I think of engineer Khan.

Let down 3 times!!! One plumber showed up and told us he would order the part, another plumber came 3 days later with no boiler part, then told us the boiler was fine and needed nothing doing, a few days later we went to put the heating on and it didn't work!!! We ended up getting a real plumber who came within an hour and fit the new part. This company is useless avoid at all cost

Appalling customer service by Alex who was shouting at me and ridiculed me by telling me he would revert to his soft voice if I would prefer. Told me he wouldn't keep me upto date with enquiries he was making. That I was holding him up to service his 39 other customers.

This is a horrid service provider.

They do not do the job. Have awful unreliable work force. They sub contract and these people lie.

Do not use.

Unfortunately insurance providers use them.

Abysmal performance and service. House insurance through Admiral, leak under sink and Sedgwick are their home emergency people. They then send a third company to you - in the house 20 minutes, in the toilet without asking or taking shoes off for 5 of those minutes, I wondered if upstairs was being ransacked. Another 5 mins asking if I was in Google and showing me the actual company he worked for and telling me to give a good review “I’ll be looking out for it”. Said the washing machine was causing the leak - it wasn’t, said the leak was fixed - it wasn’t and left. Videoed pipe leaking after he had gone. Subsequent numerous calls to Sedgwick- no-one ever came back to fix the leak. He reported back that he had replaced pipework (he most definitely had not) and everything was working perfectly. Thank goodness it wasn’t a gas leak or the house could have blown up. Utterly incompetent and dishonest.

A Disastrous Experience with UKA247

I recently had the misfortune of dealing with UKA247, and I must say it was an utterly horrendous experience from start to finish. Throughout my interactions with this company, I encountered numerous issues and inefficiencies that left me frustrated this is the reason for my strong negative review.

I had the worse gas engineer in the world, he was at my property for less then 8 mins and gave a complete false report about boiler to my insurance company admiral.

Overall, my experience with UKA247 was a complete nightmare. From their abysmal customer service and inaccurate reporting.

I strongly urge anyone considering their services to look elsewhere for a more reputable and customer-centric provider. Save yourself the headache and frustration by steering clear of UKA247.

Absolutely appalling service. Invoiced incorrectly several times, attempting to overcharge me by £450 above policy amount. Eventually I paid an extra amount of £65 as requested, the plumber contracted was great and honest and said I was due a refund as he did not end up working the hours quoted. This was agreed by Sedgwick but weeks later I have still not received my £65 refund! Everytime I call, I’m told it will be paid in next few days! Very dishonest company, that still have my money!
