Selby post office is everything a post office should be, the staff are friendly and efficient and always happy to help with the usual wide array of post office services. The opening times unlike many post offices are great and so you can almost always get what you need to do sorted at a time to suit you. Very pleased with the Selby post office unlike other post offices locally which are very unpleasant to visit.

Queues through the store with 3 members of staff in the post office and only one counter open. Not good enough.

3 staff in, 1 counter open with huge queue.
Terrible service. Wouldn't use it if there was an alternative. What has happened to the post office. It's turned into a money grabbing company, and all sense of service to the public has left the building, much like Elvis!
Can't give zero stars so one will have to do.

They Lost my parcel which there was evidence it was signed for by one of them. The women behind the counter could not care less or accept responsibility and tried to blame it on to the other depo. I was told not come back because i was frustrated about it. It was not a cheap parcel

I understand that post offices tend to be slow, but this particular one is exceptionally sluggish! It took 30 minutes for 6 people ahead of me to send a parcel, and even when it was my turn, the process took much longer than usual.

That's the last time I use this Post Office. Waited eleven minutes this morning to post one parcel. Three members of staff behind the counter, yet only one person serving, despite the fact there were eight customers queueing. Surely the most important job is actually serving customers. Everything else can wait until it's quiet. It should be all hands on deck. I will be going elsewhere in future.

Saturday visit 18/05/24 to return a parcel. Note on WH Smith door 'post office closed, sorry for inconvenience'. Asked worker at WH Smith if she knew why (not their fault), who said it was due to no available post office staff! And this is meant to be a service!

Revolting staff, lots of attitude for £9 an hour! One actually said once when I was purchasing dollars ‘why are you going to the USA and I’m not?’ Well I have no idea maybe as I had to go with work! If you actually have a better attitude maybe one day you’ll get to travel with work and make more than £9 an hour, until then they should be quiet and do the jobs they get paid for.
