Signing up was quick and simple, the quarterly bonuses sound good. The website has a clear and simple layout.
This is a managed fund however and there are no options for altering or changing investments.

Only setting up the policy is easy with them with there partner company active quote.They just want business from you but when it’s time for claim then so many excuses and they don’t want to give you any single penny in your hard time.
Stay away from this company. They don’t want to give you anything back they just try to take advantage from self employed.

My wife was self employed in the Health Sector and took out an Income Protection Policy in order to cover if she was unable to work through ill health. We paid the premiums for 5 years with no claims and were secure in the knowledge that if we needed Shepherd Friendly they were there for us.
Nothing could be further from the truth. They are great when you are setting up any policy, but you just try and claim on it!
A period of extreme stress in relation to a dying close relative rendered my wife unable to work and she was signed off.
When we tried to claim on the Income Protection Policy we were told eventually that Stress was not a debilitating illness and would not be covered by the policy (WOW!!) This was after a few different replies giving different reasons to reject the claim.
Looking at several reviews, many are about rejecting Income Protection Policies.
We cancelled the policy immediately and would never deal with these people again.
