Paul and Sarah at Sheridan's lettings have been more than helpful to me all the way through my four and half year's tenancy through them. They dealt with any problems promptly and advised me as to what was happening.
When the time came for my tenancy to end , they helped me to find other properties to look at. Thanks for keeping it so pleasant , yet professional.

If you are planning to rent with Sheridan Sales&Lettings you can say "Good bye!" to your deposit, if you are not going to fight very hard for your money.
As a tenant for a period of 3 years, their services were... I would say poor to ok with delays on delivering the laundry cards. Also they haven't paid any visit during these three years to evaluate the condition of the flat or to invest any money on it, so from this point of view you can stay relaxed as they will not disturb you during your accommodation.
When the time came to leave the flat, as I moved in my own house, our relationship step by step was starting to be cold as Sarah Sheridan came at the end to do the evaluation of the flat and tried to find everything to catch our deposit like the mattress has stains on it, the walls are heavily marked, the silicone around sinks is not in good condition, the toilet seat is cracked, the fridge has rust on it and also has dents, and the the flat wasn't clean enough, which was partially true and I came back to clean it again.
As I told her, we rented the flat to live in it, we haven't rented a museum or an art gallery, and there are normal condition of wear and tear.
The toilet seat had signs of cracks because was too old, I cleaned the mattress in the conditions where the mattress had following the label on it more than 6-7 years, their responsibility being to replace the mattress with a new one when the new tenants are in. What is happening, if for example I had a disease with my skin? It wasn't the case, but is just a sign that they don't care too much about their tenants.
Regarding the fridge, the landlord replaced the fridge with a second hand fridge which came already with rust and with dents. It was very hard to convince Sarah, and she hasn't got any proof of what she is saying. The walls haven't heavily marked as she said in the conditions where there lived 2 adults and one kid. I haven't agree to pay 50% for the painting, so at the end I opened a dispute through DPS, which took a very long time and finally I won it, so I recovered all my money back.
This is not just a singular case, it is a practice for them as I met people who rented through Sheridan on the area and they retained part of tenants deposit from different reasons.
In conclusion, I feel very disappointed about this agency and how they tried to take my deposit.
As an advice for Sheridan, take care about your tenants, be impartial not how you are now, on landlord's side. The tenants and the landlords are your image, and if we are happy, you will happy to.

Sheridans estate agents beware !! Be prepared to say goodbye to your deposit, be insulted and called a liar when you dispute the initial condition of the house at the point of move in. We are also aware that this is not a one off experience !!
They quite happily let my daughter move into a property that was not altogether clean, undecorated and in this case infested with fleas; prior giving back the keys, they had the cheek to inform that the property needs to be professionally cleaned and decorated, even though upon inspection the property was in a better state than before the start of the tenancy !!
My daughter lost count of the months that it took to try have issues resolved and suffered both financially and physically as a result. Certainly no support for the tenant!! An absolute disgrace, we will be taking this further with trading standards, it is disgusting what estate agents can get away with !!

Speaking as a tenant of which I was there 4 & a bit years I feel that Sheridans was unprofessional & scammers. They've robbed us of our deposit by sending in photo's to the DPS that were taken before I spent a week off work & re decorated the property. They fed them lies just so they could get their client some money. They were unhelpful during the tenancy & things never got fixed including, showers, toilets, dishwasher, oven & took forever in sorting the boiler when it broke down in the middle of winter. They never done what they were supposed to do for the landlord either, they failed to do their 6 monthly checks, used rubbish fitters & always tried to fix things on the cheap (when they eventually got round to it). If you are looking to rent a property i'd avoid Sheridans like the plague, you'll never see your deposit back & you'll spend your own money on things the landlord should be fixing himself. Paul at Sheridans comes across all nice & even pretends to be on your side when the landlord has threatened you. But be aware, its all an act. He's only after one thing. Your money!!

Ps they have only got 1 star because thats the lowest you can give. If there was a minus option, i'd use it!!!
