SmarterRent were the perfect solution for my wife and I while we were waiting for our sale to complete. They offer a fantastic and flexible service. The 2 bedroom we rented was well positioned, had great internet and a few minor issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Would recommend them for anyone looking for a flexible short term rental.

What an incredible 5 month stay at a furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bath flat in Richmond! After talking with Adrian,we booked it sight unseen and it was exactly as described in the posting. A couple weeks in, we had a plumbing issue that was resolved in a timely manner and otherwise have had no problems. Communications with Smarter Rent are excellent. The location is perfect, the accommodations are very comfortable and the private gardens are beautiful. Hope to return someday!

Shameless scammers. AVOID at all costs unless you want to lose hundreds of pounds.

They posted an INACCURATE LISTING of one of their properties on AirBnB, FALSELY ADVERTISING that it was a ground floor flat with a private garden. I check in to find that there are multiple, steep steps to get to the property, which is completely unacceptable to omit from the advert/pictures as the property is inaccessible for people with disabilities (whom wouldn't have found out until after they have paid their money and travelled all the way there). It also had a communal garden shared between 3 flats/multiple neighbours which meant I spent a lot of money for a service that was not provided to me - which is a BREACH OF CONTRACT. This has been reported to trading standards and I have taken this to small claims court to be investigated further.

I'll let the public decide for themselves from the attached photos and videos. In what world is this property a 'ground floor flat' with a 'private garden'? In the video, you can clearly see the front doors of flat 1, 2 and 3 that have access to this COMMUNAL garden. Saying AirBnB has ruled in your favour is not a defence as their judgment is not impartial - you are both working together to scam people. I've also attached reviews from other renters corroborating my claim - THIS is impartial evidence. Also, please stop kidding yourself... changing the advert to a 'private garden' straight after my stay IS an admission of guilt. It's not a refinement if the only thing you change is the inaccuracy. Like I said, from the pics & videos, any sane person reading this will rule in my favour.

I tried to raise a complaint about the falsely advertised listing to get a refund, however, Smarter Rent's terrible and inconsiderate customer service meant I was ignored, gaslighted and mistreated. They don't pick up the phone during working hours and Alex, the Host, seemed to never be in the office to discuss this issue with me like a professional adult. They also removed my review from the listing, preventing future customers from being scammed or from being able to make an informed choice about booking their properties.

What's worse is that they have now changed the listing to state the property has a 'shared garden', proving my point that this is what should've been advertised in the first place. These scammers acknowledge that the advert was incorrect but are refusing to give me a refund of the hundreds of pounds I was scammed out of.

It's the second time I've used Smarter Rent. Sadly this time was not as straightforward and positive as the first stay. There were problems with leaks, sewage smell and bad managing thereof. Although the response time is fairly quick and I was told the leak causing dripping was fixed, I spent the first week of my stay with dripping into my bed and being told again and agin it was sorted. Ultimately I had to climb into the loft myself to find what was causing the issue!
I requested to speak to a manager (several times) and for some form of compensation as I lost a week's worth of sleep.
This did not happen.
As a result of this experience I would be very reluctant to use this company again or recommend to others unfortunately.

Stayed in a great little two bed property whilst work on my house was completed. The house came fully equipped and had very good internet, which was a plus. Check in was really easy and communication prior to check in was very efficient.

Recently we used Smarter Rent for a 6-months stay at a furnished 3-bedroom apartment in Wokingham. Great location, close to the train station and shops, with a convenient carpark just across the street.
It was clean, comfortable, well organised, had everything we needed upon arrival and exactly as depicted in the photos. The rental process was started with Adrian who was patient and responsive to all initial Q&A queries. Lisa followed up on the remaining procedures (including carpark permits and any ad hoc issues during the stay) in a professional and friendly manner with immediate action ensuring an efficient and effective result. In our experience, she was just like a star in the team. We raised some concerns to have the showerhead changed and it was resolved straight away. The guy came and sorted it out hassle-free and was very professional. Ron and Gwen in the support team were polite and impressive to contribute a super smooth operation and they were reliable to manage requests without fail.
Overall, communication and accommodation provided by Smarter Rent are excellent. A lovely medium-term stay experience, and would highly recommend this property and Smarter Rent!

Very comfortable house. All clean and well serviced. Nice and calm place, regardless the road proximity.
Some furniture renewal would be benefitial though.
I look forward to come back.
