Stanhope sold me a buildings insurance policy for renovation works, in their youtube video advertising this it specifically mentions helping out with a legal case around building works, how their product saved the day. Unfortunately we were in a situation where we needed to claim and the insurance company cited some small print and refused to claim. They're still advertising on their website that it's important to get renovation insurance because "Things might go wrong during the building works, and your house may become structurally unstable, exposed to the elements, or more vulnerable to theft." - this is exactly what happened to us and our claim was refused.
