Had to request assistance after breaking down in my 1962 Morris Minor, in less than an hour I was loaded onto the recovery truck and back home. Excellent service from E and S Motors who were the designated recovery company.

Start Rescue were amazing today!
My elderly fathers breaks failed on a very steep hill, Newton Road Mumbles Swansea.
He rang Start Rescue, they were constantly updating and reassuring him, not only giving great support the rescue vehicle was at the scene within half an hour.
Very professional team !

Been a member of start for just over a year, sign up process is really good and price is really good, we took it out more for insurance.
On Sunday on a long drive we had the misfortune of suffering a blow out on a busy dual carriageway, with 3 kids in tow one being a toddler the situation was an ordeal, we notified Start who instructed a company to our location, the operator then helped us to try and find someone who could fit a new tyre.
Start kept us informed of what was going on and also carried out welfare checks, the company they instructed were excellent, the driver was to our location within 30 minutes but because of our location had to wait for police to assist with a road block, all this was dealt with by the company we were recovered in about 45 minutes and they took us to a garage that was willing to stay open late to help us which was a distance away.
Would highly recommend Start rescue, I have been with bigger brands in the past while I would not recommend but Start were amazing and put said brands to shame.
Thank you Start rescue for making the situation so much more bearable and for everything you did for us so appreciated.

So pleased with the service from this company and can’t thank you enough for making a stressful time easier! Typical that we were on the way to our first holiday this year and the car had broken down. We were recovered very quickly and the communication from start rescue was brilliant. Thank you. First time needed after 5 years cover, app easy to report breakdown. Poole's Recovery brilliant, there in 45 mins and sorted, great mechanic. After sales call also to make sure all sorted. Thanks guys, excellent service.

Absolutely disgusting service - do not use this company if you care about your family!

They left my daughter stranded and alone in the dark and cold on a winters day after a 70mph motorway collision on the M6 near Carlisle. She was hundreds of miles from home, in shock, crying, and they just fobbed her off over several phone calls, the content of which kept changing from operator to operator. She was a lone female, clearly in distress, hundreds of miles from home, and they treated her like dirt.

There is not enough room to note all the disinformation, wrong advice, and sometimes just blatant lies they told her about what she was covered for, but they must have hours of taped phone calls which will contain it if they wish to question this.

Start Rescue advertise a three star policy on their web site, but many of the features are worthless when you try to use them, they spout some small pint which you can't see - just try clicking the little "?" mark beside the wording - nothing comes up.

In this case she was on the phone to them on 4/5 occasions, and clearly distraught after her near fatal accident. The police removed her car to a holding yard as they would not wait for Start Rescue due to the time they quoted, Start Rescue were then supposed to collect her and the car from the yard - this never happened, despite being told it would - twice. They then told her she was too far away to recover - so get a train home! (as a lone female, in the dark, in a strange place, on her own, after a 70mph near fatal car crash!) This was after almost 3 hours of her waiting for them to turn up!

She got home shaken and in tears, I complained and complained the next day, I'm still waiting for the call "customer excuses" said they would give me this afternoon. So despite being on the phone to them today for over 2 hours, 4 calls, and at least 6 operators we still do not have her car back - the one which should have been recovered yesterday, and then promised it would be today, and then I'm told it could be another 3/5 days!!

Yes, this is a rant, and quite rightly so, all I get are apologies and excuses about what is covered, just what kind of trouble do you have to be in to use the £500 travel expenses or overnight accommodation which is part of the policy - because this apparently was not bad enough

They should have authorised a taxi to take the poor girl home if they could not recover her and her car (like they are supposed to do), but instead she had to get two taxis - which they said they would not pay for, and two trains to get home in a right state arriving 8 hours after her crash - what is the point of buying breakdown recovery insurance if your treated like dirt and don't get any of the benefits of it

Shame on you Start Rescue.

My 19 year old granddaughter skidded on a corner 2 miles from home just after midnight and hit the curb.Car not driveable. Very upset of course and with a couple of bruises too. She used the app and within 15 minutes a bloke who she said was so lovely turned up and transported her and the car to her home. This morning she contacted them and within an hour they came to the house and took the car to the garage for repairs...all within 40 mins and at no extra cost. Brilliant service that made a a 19 year old with autism deal with the whole upsetting situation so much better. Many thanks.

Used today for the first time after years with BMW Assistance. Service and speed of response was excellent and thoroughly recommend. Assistance was excellent and was able to complete my journey.
