I had an awful experience with this real estate company. During a call, I was abruptly cut off after being asked how many people and what type of people would live in the property. As someone whose first language isn’t English, this felt blatantly discriminatory and unprofessional.

This company clearly lacks respect for customers, and such behavior is unacceptable. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

Disgusting behaviour. Sterling pulled out of rental agreement as they had not fixed problematic areas as agreed. Have held onto my deposit for a full month despite me repeatedly chasing through the other agency they use to advertise their lettings. A whole month of waiting for my £1k, phoning the citizens advice, speaking to a lawyer, completing a claim with the small claims court... just pure stress. NO APOLOGY! Be ashamed of yourself Dominic.

*Avoid at all costs*

Have had a largely negative experience as tenants in a property managed by Sterling. I could write an essay, but will try to summarise:

1. Delays with necessary repairs. A fault when a toilet was fitted meant leaks under the bathroom floor and black mold growing in the bathroom wall for months. Only resolved when the Council were informed.
2. They have no concerns over building safety. One of the external doors to the block of flats is faulty, doesn’t lock, and was that way for the year we lived there. Lift was also broken the entire time we lived there.
3. Faulty fire alarm system in the building meant multiple alarms in the middle of the night. Not only irritating but a waste of the fire service’s time, too.
4. They tried to tell the Council we moved out later than we did, so the council tried to charge us extra Council tax when we didn’t live there. So, not only unhelpful, dishonest too.
5. The latest saga is it has taken us more than six weeks to have our deposit returned to us. Our rental agreement stated any deductions would be informed within 10 days, and it took 5 weeks. A further 10 days after that for funds to be returned.

Have never dealt with such a lack of professionalism in my years of renting and would encourage you to avoid the headache.

Landlord pulled out from letting me the property, they won’t refund my holding deposit Eventhough I was assured on goodlord website and by staff member if the application was unsuccessful I would get my money back! only use them if you are happy to get Your MONEY STOLEN! They talk to you like dirty! It is about the money but also about the dishonest conduct!

Stay well clear of this so called letting agent. No interest in their tenants whatsoever. Until your rent is due that is. My pics show how I was made to live for 5+ yrs.

Very unprofessional. Delaying completion of my property by not providing a simple certificate. Been chasing for weeks, empty promises but no certificate. Useless
