This is actually a self catering annex to the owners property not B&B. Lovely property with two bedrooms ( one double and one twin), modern bathroom , large traditionally furnished lounge and fully equiped kitchen. Private parking immediately outside. Patio doors lead to a patio with modern garden furniture and a lovely private garden on two levels. You are wanting for nothing and yhe website does not do it justice by some margin. On arrival we were provided with milk, fruit, tea, coffe and orange juice and not forgetting the lemon drizzle cake!! 3 minute walk to two pubs ( we frequented the Turks Head ) and a well stocked convenience store. Bus stop to Weymouth at the end of the road.

From the welcoming and kindness of Pru, such a delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake. Our lovely hostess even brought fresh milk, juice and fruits as soon after she showed us around A quiet location with lovely gardens with your parking space in front of your door. Every detail was well looked after and everything was spotless and cleaned with your own private outside space with chairs for nice sunbathing or alfresco dinning. Kitchen and utensils fully supplied, loved the tassimo coffee machine, there were even capsules left to enjoy. It is located in a small peaceful town-suburb and you cannot hear a noise out of the sound of the birds in the morning which I enjoyed whilst having breakfast every day. Nice bathroom with velux to enjoy a hot bath or shower, to your liking. The mattress is one of the best I have slept in, even some luxury hotels are thinner than the one in the double bed. What else to say?, you need to book and enjoy, I am sure you will get back home with your batteries fully charged after such a relaxing experience. Even I forgot my bathrobe and Put just mailed me to let me know she is posting it.

Lovely annexe, helpful friendly owners, hidden up the owners driveway so very peaceful and quiet, beautiful safe garden for the dog. Everything we needed, plus extras. Worth coming again for the lemon drizzle cake !

Not actually stayed at the B&B but in the attached self catering cottage and this place in wonderful. We were greeted very warmly by the owner when we arrived and shown where to park. After letting us in she showed us round the cottage and we were blown away! Such a lovely and cosy cottage comprising of a lounge/diner, kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin) ||The lounge is comfortable with a sofa and two chairs and a TV & DVD/VCR, and dining table to seat 4.||The kitchen has everything you could need, superbly stocked with electric oven and hob as well as fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster and all the cookware and tableware you could possibly need. Tea, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk were provided as was a delicious home made lemon drizzle cake - such a nice touch. The cupboards also had oils & spices. ||Bedrooms are a good size, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage for clothes and shoe. Bathroom was lovely with a corner bath and shower. ||The outside space is beautiful, a table and chairs is provided as are sun loungers. The garden is well kept and such a lovely space to spend a relaxing evening as it gets the late evening sun. ||The pictures on the website just don't do this lovely cottage justice though, the lounge is lovely and bright as are all the rooms really, but the website doesn't seem to show this. ||Cannot praise this place enough. Will stay here again if we're in the area.

... there's also a self-catering annexe.||This was our second stay at Stonebank Annexe and it was just as enjoyable as the first time.||It's compact but has 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin) and a cosy lounge/diner. The galley kitchen is extremely well equipped and, like the bathroom, absolutely spotless.||Sliding doors open onto a paved area with table and chairs that is part of your own private garden.||It's in the north west area of Chickerell (note spelling), which means it's in the original village and very peaceful. There are two pubs in walking distance if you choose to eat out, The Turk's Head (see separate review) and The Lugger (which we didn't go to this time around). The Fleet is also in walking distance.||Weymouth and all of its facilities is just 10 minutes drive away. Just up the lane and turn right and you're along the coast road to Abbotsbury, Bridport and beyond.||Another nice week away!

Excellent accommodation in small (quiet) village with shop and pub (restaurant) within easy walking distance. Very clean and fully furnished (including all kitchen requirements), Owners (Pru and Keith) very helpful to assist with any questions. Complete information (books/folders) on all local attractions and walks, and a well-stocked bookcase in case of inclement weather. We have visited many times, and look forward to our next visit

I booked this b&b for my mother and father-in-law and didn’t actually stay here my self. But I had to write this as this wonderful b&b doesn’t have many reviews.||||Both my in-laws stayed in the b&b for 5 nights in July and both loved it and would recommend it to anybody. They loved everything about this b&b, the rooms, breakfast and the hosts. The buildings were “oldie worldly”, well decorated and peaceful. The breakfast was one of the best that they ever had.||||Well done Stonebank

This is a very honest review of our stay at the Stonebank Annexe self catering cottage, next door to the B&B.....Our stay was superb due to a lovely couple of Pru and Keith, who are the the owners and take pride in their holidaymakers comfort and sheer hygiene.... this place is truly spotless and bright and very well laid out in all context for a self catering holiday, has everything to hand to make your stay pleasant. We had lovely weather for our weeks stay and this was a bonus as the garden to relax in is a real gem, south facing so lovely sunshine for hours into late evening, we could go on and on with so many excellent reasons but trust me give it a try....you will not be disappointed, it also tells its own story that this place is fully booked for spring and summer time, also going well into autumn.... So have no worries about booking the Stonebank Annexe self catering cottage.....SUPERB COTTAGE .... Plus so close to many local attractions, in a lovely quiet village....
