Well positioned b&b with good views towards the village centre. Easy walking distance to Lacock abbey, church, shops and pubs. Good off road parking with a gated entrance. This b&b is very easy to find and only a short drive from the M4. Plenty of places to visit nearby and I’d recommend using the park and ride at Lansdown when visiting Bath. ||The accommodation is in a self-contained area of the cottage. There is a separate toilet, sitting room and bedroom, so plenty of space to spread out. The shower is in the bedroom which I found to have a good supply of hot water with a good pressure. The bedroom has a duel aspect which made it feel bright and airy.||The host, Rosie, was the most friendly and knowledgeable person that I have ever met at a b&b. We had friendly chats each morning over breakfast and learnt all about the area. Rosie’s breakfasts were perfect. Just the right quantity of good quality food all cooked the way I like. All freshly prepared, it was something I looked forward to each morning. I would recommend this b&b as the perfect mix of good location combined with an excellent host and one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. |

If you want the full english countryside experience, Rosie's Talbot House in Lacock is the place to stay! The building is over 600 years old and has all the charm you'd expect from a quaint English townhouse. Rosie is absolutely lovely and made us feel right as home. We checked in a bit late due to flight delays but she wouldn't allow us to feel guilty about it. Your highlight will be breakfast cooked by her and hearing her stories over smoked salmon with scrambled eggs or a full English breakfast.

A wonderful weekend spent at Talbot House. Rosie is so hospitable, particular compliments for the homemade breakfast including the delicious marmalade. The space instantly felt like a home away from home. There is much to do in Lacock and Rosie was very knowledgeable. We particularly enjoyed the Abbey and local ice-creams - and the passing ducks frolicking in the stream before dinner nearby. We hope to return. It would be an absolute pleasure to stay again at Talbot House.

We stayed at the Talbot House B and B to break our journey on the way to Somerset and we definitely found a little gem. Rosie was a super host and made us feel at home straight away. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and as an added bonus, we had a cosy little television room complete with fridge and microwave if we needed it. We were also able to enjoy Rosie's beautiful garden plus of course the very warm and excited welcome we received every time we saw Tots, her lovely dog. Rosie's breakfasts must also get a mention as they were delicious and very filling so a good start to the day. We were extremely fortunate to stay again a week later when we broke our journey on the way back and it was a lovely end to our holiday. We would have no hesitation in recommending Rosie, Tots and Talbot House to our friends and would love to go back again in the not too distant future.

We stayed in Laycock for the weekend, I have to say I am well pleased we chose to stay at the Talbot House as the property is in a great location with private parking. I have to say Rosie was a friendly and welcoming host and her breakfast are great.||The room ( I call it a room but its much more) This is like your own 1 bedroomed flat with a lovely airy comfortable bedroom, toilet across the hall and your own little tv lounge with a fridge and microwave, a lovely touch is the cold water and home made fudge. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Spend two nights at this delightful b&b, well more than your average b&b, you get your own lounge/kitchette space too. Great location right on the edge of Lacock. Plenty of private parking. Rosie is a super, great host with the added bonus of Tots, her lovely dog. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful garden. Great breakfast. 100% recommend.

Our stay at Talbot House was truly special. Rosie, the gracious host was so friendly and accommodating. She insisted on giving us rides to and from the train station, and even though we insisted on sleeping in until after breakfast hours, she still left a delicious continental breakfast out for us every day. She also made reservations for us at the local pub, and even dropped off a birthday candle at the pub for them to bring with dessert for my wife’s birthday! Really above and beyond!||The guest’s quarters were very clean, bright, and comfortable. We slept very well on the comfortable bed, and enjoyed the tea and homemade fudge Rosie supplied for us. We also loved Tilly, the Cockapoo- maybe the sweetest little dog I’ve ever met! If you love dogs, she’s an absolute highlight, and if you aren’t so fond of dogs, Rosie will make sure you aren’t bothered. ||We highly recommend Talbot House for your Lacock getaway!

An outstanding B&B which is actually in the village of Lacock. I could not fault anything. Rosie and Tilly are very accommodating and pleasant hosts. This B&B which only has 1 bedroom for guests has been well thought through in terms of design of accommodation, which has been planned to make your stay as pleasant as possible. You basically have your own wing up a separate stair case. The toilet adjoins the bedroom as does your own private lounge. There is no sitting on the bed to watch TV, you have your own private lounge complete with a TV with lots of stations and a fridge stocked with proper milk, water and orange juice. There is also a container of home made fudge. The furnishings and toiletries are high quality. The toilet adjoins the bedroom. Breakfast is plentiful, locally sourced as much as possible and superb. There is ample parking and a beautiful garden to sit in. The B&B is a very short walking distance from The George pub in Lacock. I would not consider anywhere else to stay in this area now I have stayed at Talbot House and I have stayed in Lacock before.
