I have ptsd and tourettes, I was not properly assessed and put down as a non priority. If you have any disabilities make sure to involve a social worker, (your GP can direct you to one) because they will do everything they can to list you as a non priority, so you have to "rough it out" on the streets

If I could give this organisation one star I really would. Although most of the people on the phone when you get through are nice I have been told on several occasions now that I should apply to Manchester move to have a better chance at finding a home as I am homeless. 2 people from Manchester move and a lovely woman from shelter have also informed the Infornation given by tameside housing options is incorrect and it is there duty to help me find a home. This service have never offered me anything and I've been under them for around a year now and no closer to finding a home. I recently lost my job because I am homeless I have sent countless emails to my case worker about my struggles and had no reply to date, I honestly feel there is no regard for single males struggling by this service.I'm not really sure what this service is for it does not really seem fit for purpose. The last woman I spoke to said " aww well if your rough sleeping let me know where you are so I can send an out reach worker", shouldn't you be helping to prevent me from rough sleeping ? I understand there is a housing crisis and there are long wait times, but this service is so unhelpful and the only one based in tameside that can help you if you fall under tameside council. I plan on taking this complaint further as dealing with this service has made my mental health plummet, to the point I am currently under mental health due to being homeless

Disgusting no wonder why so many homeless on street can’t even get a bed to sleep in

Homeless people don’t need advice they need somewhere to go to sleep and sort their problems

Absolutely disgusting. "Help with homelessness" there is no help here. Don't expect a good service. Only given one star because it doesnt allow you to give none! No phone calls or emails replied to, they close cases without informing you. You can't speak to anyone on the phone and is appointment only at the office (when it is open). Good luck to anyone in need because you won't get it from this service.

Don't expect any help from them. They don't care or do anything to help. Having had 2 strokes they sent me to a night shelter and did nothing to help a vulnerable person. An unprofessional attitude and lies. Don't trust a word they say. Hence they have such a low star rating.

Tameside housing advice are the worst people I have ever met in my life. They are there to help people out not to throw them out. My friend is x Royal Navy and as been treated badly by them,
From all the reviews I have seen on their website there are only two god reviews by coloured people.

i’ve been going in the past six months and receiving no help.

My worker is either not in today or she lose all my doc record which we’ll have to restart over again…again.

Good luck getting any help from these people.
